Tried to check the t&c for the 'any phone in any condition' £100 trade-in offer but can't see any info re: phones that can be traded.
Does anyone know if a Samsung S4 with a black screen would qualify please?

If you click on the link in the description for the £100 trade in bones and select the device you're interested in buying it gives a list of devices you can trade in. Scroll all the way to the bottom and it lists any android or apple working/faulty. So I assume you'd be fine

I was going to go for this but because I'm already with O2 (although out of contract) it seems I won't be able to port my current number (which I want to keep) because its suggesting I look at upgrade deals instead...

Is it not possible to port/migrate my existing O2 sim only number to a new O2 contract? (edited)

I took out a new contract with O2 a year or so ago. I rang them up and cancelled the old contract and asked them to port the number from the old contract to the new one which they did. Took about 24hrs to transfer over.

Will quidco/tcb work with this as well? £26 on quidco

I don't see why not TopCashBack is better with £35 cashback.
New Contracts and Upgrades on O2 - Exclusive Offer £35.00

So this other indicates any contract devices as long as its O2, should be eligible for £35 cashback. (edited)

I'm looking into the 20G plan which is £20 per month. Does anyone know roughly how much I would be approx paying from 2024 April, and 2025 April?

If £20 is the base price then probably £3 per month? 15% rise approx.?

It all sounds good until you read this much upfront.

It is better to pay more upfront and avoid a larger RPI increase later.

S23+ is optimum pocket size, not as huge as S23Ultra, not as small screened as S23

Also its flat display, not stupidly curved. Had a the 21 Ultra dropped phone and it cracked on the edge part because cases can't protect the curved edges.

My current plan with Vodafone expires at the end of July, does anyone know the process of changing my existing number to this contract? Do I buy the contract and then once I have the phone and SIM, get the PAC code from Vodafone and call up O2 to change the number across?
    Potterified's avatar
    Potterified
Exactly this, except it is easier than calling up. Just text PAC to 65075 when you're ready to port away from Voda.

When you have your PAC from Voda use this form on O2 website:

Piece of advice re: any condition trade-in. I have tried to get a straight answer from their trade-in team to no avail.
They don't accept faulty phones in "any condition" but won't say what qualifies as in/eligible faulty.
Given my experience with Samsung over the years, I won't trust 'just buy the phone, send the old one and hope for the best' response.
I'm sure if you have a decent phone fully working, the cashback will work fine. But if you've got an old/faulty phone, be very careful.

I'm currently on a 12 month contract sime only with o2... anyone had any luck with upgrades team matching this offer?

Great deal, I called O2 to see if I could switch this but I couldn't because my sim only contract doesn't expire until May next year 😔. The hunt continues for a deal on buying one outright

I'm surprised this hasn't received more heat, the phone is lovely & assuming I receive the cash back, this deal will effectively cost me £529 for the phone (if I subtract my cancelled sim only £10pm cost over the 24 months) & that is a very good price for a 512gb S23+.

    Thanks @MrSwitch
