Do not buy these or any Chinese brands. They all typically come with bespoke software that rely on you to connect to their custom Chinese servers, which could be extinct anytime in the future. They typically provide cameras with poor viewing angles and the software they provide is normally very bad, making it difficult to manage your system. I remember the days I have to get a monitor and physically take it to my cellar and plug it into the NVR just to get footage off, completely useless. Also, the motion detection is always very poor and unusable in most cases. For anyone looking for amazingly good, user friendly camera systems, have a look at reputable brands. My favorite at the moment is UniFi as they are the only good ones that are not charging monthly subscriptions. I've bought the cheap stuff before and thoroughly regret it. The UniFi stuff is better a million times over. From simple things like smart motion detection that is actually accurate and works to amazingly good software that timelapses your videos and makes it super easy and quick to find footage. (edited)

sorted by- Reolink cameras provide an RTSP stream that you can record completely locally, either on a PC using BlueIris, a raspberry pi using HomeAssistant and Frigate or with their NVR, no subscription is necessary and neither is an internet connection. You could run them on a vlan with no internet access if required. (edited)
- Had mine for a while and it's been great.
Good deal as a lot cheaper than upgrading the hard drive to 2tb from 500gb and buying the cameras separate like I did. - Reolink are good and their Ai human, pet and vehicle detection is spot on and the microphones are really clear too
- "Intelligent human/vehicle detection"...
That's all well and good, but can it spot thickos?
Most thieves and vandals don't seem to be particularly intelligent! - £341.75 with voucher

(edited) - Anyone can recommend good CCTV set with good quality microphones?? I desperately need something with good audio as me and my family were assaulted and racially abused by our next door neighbours.ANNKE are generally (most but not all) rebranded and cheaper versions of hikvision cameras. Could be worth checking out.
- When you plug the network cable into the cam is that what powers it as well ? Just i can only see one power cable for the whole system ?PoE - power over Ethernet
- Can I add a wireless camera to the 4 supplied? Would be too far and awkward to use a PoE cable for one locationPretty certain that'll work, you can add an IP camera to the NVR and should function the same as the others
- For similar money I got a HiLook 2tb NVC and ColorVu cameras, you should check out the HikVision/HiLook ColorVu if you want a decent night time image.Indeed that sounds like a better setup. Can you please share more details where you got them / how many and so on
- Expired!
- It's back again today.
Appreciate that this next bit is unlikely to help many but there is a further 5% discount on more than one item purchased. You can only use the £21 discount once but if you buy one white set and one black set then all discounts apply and you pay £629.98 for two. Great if you can find someone else that wants one. - How are these? Hooking up wifi ip cams to these possible as well with the poe cams? Was looking at this myself. It seems you can only hook up reolink Wi-Fi cameras that have a power cable and won’t work with the battery/solar powered Wi-Fi cameras.
- Also, most of the times the criminals just rotate the camera away or make it point in the wrong direction using a stick or cover it up if it's not installed high enough. So that's one negative on these kinds of cameras. I would prefer dome ones as they are slightly trickier to cover or rotate
- So after all the talk is this a good system to keep an eye on, prime days...
If not because of the cameras what would anyone recommend for a similar amount .
Thanks.Yep I'm in the same boat as you as I'd also like to know what other systems people would recommend if not this one.
