So no lock out at all on these ?

is that usual for a fork that would retail for this amount of money

3-position compression (Open, Medium and Firm modes),
Firm compression mode is similar to a lockout, but it will still absorb big hits. That's what you tend to see on more upmarket forks

Looks like a great price. Tempted to upgrade my Bizango Pro - Rockshox Gold 35 - looks like a decent step up.

    I'd say yes it is

You can probably sell your Gold 35 for a reasonable amount

This fork is 500g lighter and better damped

Would anyone say these would be a worthwhile upgrade to the recon silvers that came on my Scout?

They will be a massive improvement

Less flexy, save a big chunk of weight and much plusher feel and better damping

Do you need any additional tools for fitting?

Good price for the fork but that RRP. Come on son. You can get the GRIP 2 version of these for under £1000 and thats miles better.

Tempted, to upgrade a Voodoo Bizango 2022. Is it worth it though? At what point do you just save up for a higher end bike, instead?
Don't think I'm at a point where I'm being held back by the bike (obviously a better bike would be a better experience). Probably leave it, until I'm deeper into the hobby. Right?
