Same price £199 on Very and Amazon too. But suspicious that they've been up and down all at the same time but it'd only been out since Jan 2023 so should be good for a little while yet. Significantly better than the few competitors at the same price range.

For me the only downside is lenovos update schedule. Whilst they've committed to 3 major android versions until 2027 (for this tablet) they're notorious at delivering them and often arrive significantly later than actual release - android 13 has already been pushed back 2 quarters. For £199, this spec and my needs of a media consumption tablet I can look over that though. (edited)

Are you really whinging about update schedules when you have all of this tablet just for 199?

Beware, this amazon review isn't great:

    'Curved Thought
1.0 out of 5 stars Messed up Android
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 April 2023Verified Purchase
Bought this tablet to replace an older Lenovo tablet, thinking it would be similar but newer and better. However, it seems Lenovo have taken a perfectly good stock Android OS and royally messed it up.

On normal Android, we have a standard three button nav at the bottom, which appears and disappears as necessary. On this tablet, it is replaced by a big ugly taskbar that stays there the whole time, wasting a good ¾" at the bottom of the display. The three button nav is scrunched up at the right hand side. Awful.

Then we have the top pull-down. On normal Android, you can pull down and get device controls and notifications. But on this tablet, you have to pull down from top right to get device controls, which are all scrunched over on the right, or top left to get notifications. Just, why break something that works? Awful.

Tried to install GPS Status and Toolbox, but the App was blocked on this device. What?

Installed Nova Launcher but struggled to get past the initial setup because the OK was obscured by the big ugly taskbar. Awful.

The GPS seems to have very low accuracy compared to my phone, which is several years older.

The system update process seemed to be a vendor overlay and very much "we're doing an update, you don't need to worry your little head about it, run along now". Patronising and awful.

Another weird thing, on the previous tablet I never recall seeing any pixels, but on this machine I noticed the pixels a few times. I think that stock OS must do smoothing, but Lenovo must have somehow managed to mess that up.

It seems to me that Lenovo have put in a lot of effort which has resulted in this tablet being a lot worse than stock Android.

It is no wonder that they are being flogged off at a massive discount. They are awful.

Also, delivery was weird and not up to Amazon's usual standards. There was no detail in the tracking. All I got was "Delivered" showing 9pm, but the item had not been delivered. It finally turned up the next day, but left me worrying about having to raise a non-delivery case with Amazon.

    Will be returning.'

Can't attest to most of this but the navbar issue sounds like they just have it in productivity mode? Where there is a fixed taskbar, otherwise it is in fact...the normal android nav bar gestures. I have a feeling the same is said for the top pulldown bar. Always got to take single user reviews with a pinch of salt. (edited)

I have had this tablet for 2 years and it has been great. I suppose that the Honor Pad 8 might be better and at the moment its cheaper on Amazon
    HUKD69's avatar
Not quite. Lenovo has much better cameras and screen + SD Card and 3.5mm slots, and 2GB extra ram. To me, that's well worth it £20 more.

Bought this yesterday and I'm impressed, speakers are very good and loud, for running normal apps tictok, watching movies etc is grand. Even played few mobile games at medium settings. Never going to be as good as highend tablet but for the money it's impressive, also was expecting loads of ads and candy crush etc to be already on it but it's very clean install.

    50516802-HybYJ.jpgI have just purchased 2 of these p11 2nd gen .
But just seen this about it being sluggish and not good. Does anyone who owns one know if they are any good ?
    Stubee's avatar
I've only had a few hours with it but wouldn't say its sluggish at all. Very little bloatware compared to other devices as well and easily uninstalled. (edited)

Is there a dedicated pen for this and is it any good?
    HUKD69's avatar
Browse the page in one screen and take notes with Precision Pen 2 (2023)4 and Nebo®5 in the other.

    lenovo.com/gb/…%2F
But if you need a tablet pen for anything serious, I'd probably look at Samsungs or Apple..

Ohhhhh shiny, my poor old fire tab is slowing down lately,
Would this be overkill for a bit of movie watching and interwebs
    sAmeri's avatar
Nope, this is exactly what it's designed for. An incredibly smooth experience for basic media browsing.

My screen of my P11 plus just died. Tablet is 18 months old, and spontaneously broke. I googled and it looks like at least one other person has also experienced this. No drop and well looked after so I would recommend you take the warranty.

This is incredible for the price, Dolby atmos sound quad speakers, I picked up a Redmi Tab for 199 and thought it was decent value but this is even better.

And only released at the beginning of the year. (edited)

After waiting for a deal on this and deliberating for months I went for the honor 8 yesterday... And now this comes up! Should I return the honor and go for this instead? It'll mainly be used for streaming media and general light enough browsing etc
    john123421's avatar
this is alot better than the honor 8 also this beats the s6 lite 2022 edition (edited)

Has anyone used the pen for handwriting at all? I'm tempted, but can get the Pixel tablet 20% off at the moment...

I've still got an old Samsung Galaxy Pro 12.2 which is now long in the tooth. My company has said - go buy a tablet for yourself but not sure whether to go for this, the 12" at £500 or the Samsung 8+ for similar money.

Does anyone have experience of the Lenovo Freestyle app with this which I believe enables you to use the tablet as a wireless companion screen to a Win 10/11 laptop or PC. (edited)

Seeing a lot of tempting tablets that are really competitively priced but none that are 5G sadly.

Samsung and Apple are just too pricey.

Thanks. I will buy on Amazon. 6gb of ram, sd card slot and promise of updates to 2025 convinced me.
