sorted byFor me the only downside is lenovos update schedule. Whilst they've committed to 3 major android versions until 2027 (for this tablet) they're notorious at delivering them and often arrive significantly later than actual release - android 13 has already been pushed back 2 quarters. For £199, this spec and my needs of a media consumption tablet I can look over that though. (edited)

1.0 out of 5 stars Messed up Android
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 April 2023Verified Purchase
Bought this tablet to replace an older Lenovo tablet, thinking it would be similar but newer and better. However, it seems Lenovo have taken a perfectly good stock Android OS and royally messed it up.
On normal Android, we have a standard three button nav at the bottom, which appears and disappears as necessary. On this tablet, it is replaced by a big ugly taskbar that stays there the whole time, wasting a good ¾" at the bottom of the display. The three button nav is scrunched up at the right hand side. Awful.
Then we have the top pull-down. On normal Android, you can pull down and get device controls and notifications. But on this tablet, you have to pull down from top right to get device controls, which are all scrunched over on the right, or top left to get notifications. Just, why break something that works? Awful.
Tried to install GPS Status and Toolbox, but the App was blocked on this device. What?
Installed Nova Launcher but struggled to get past the initial setup because the OK was obscured by the big ugly taskbar. Awful.
The GPS seems to have very low accuracy compared to my phone, which is several years older.
The system update process seemed to be a vendor overlay and very much "we're doing an update, you don't need to worry your little head about it, run along now". Patronising and awful.
Another weird thing, on the previous tablet I never recall seeing any pixels, but on this machine I noticed the pixels a few times. I think that stock OS must do smoothing, but Lenovo must have somehow managed to mess that up.
It seems to me that Lenovo have put in a lot of effort which has resulted in this tablet being a lot worse than stock Android.
It is no wonder that they are being flogged off at a massive discount. They are awful.
Also, delivery was weird and not up to Amazon's usual standards. There was no detail in the tracking. All I got was "Delivered" showing 9pm, but the item had not been delivered. It finally turned up the next day, but left me worrying about having to raise a non-delivery case with Amazon.
Will be returning.'
But just seen this about it being sluggish and not good. Does anyone who owns one know if they are any good ?

But if you need a tablet pen for anything serious, I'd probably look at Samsungs or Apple..
Or am I better waiting for a good deal on prime day ? 11th -12 July ? (edited)
Would this be overkill for a bit of movie watching and interwebs

And only released at the beginning of the year. (edited)
Does anyone have experience of the Lenovo Freestyle app with this which I believe enables you to use the tablet as a wireless companion screen to a Win 10/11 laptop or PC. (edited)

Mind you, it wasn't when I posted this one.
Samsung and Apple are just too pricey.
There seems to be a 6 GB and 4 GB ram version
