HOMCOM 4-In-1 7000 BTU Mobile Air Conditioner for Room up to 15m²

Very good for a small room, this is the cheapest deal recently.

£175.49 with code Summer10

There are 15% code for first time buyer in app I think it is APP15, I have not verified that.

I knew there were people concerned about reliability and customer service.
I can share my experience with HOMCOM and Aosom.

I bought one HOMCOM last year from Aosom, which is working perfectly and still running strong with no problem.

I bought two HOMCOM in April form Aosom, and the new model feels cheaper compared to last year one.
One of them broke on delivery; Aosom send me a replacement after I contacted them.
Another one broke after two months, Aosom sold out the broken model, so they gave me a full refund.

In total, I got 4 HOMCOM, 2 of them working perfectly.
The sample size needs to be bigger, so this can not prove HOMCOM is/not reliable. But I can say that Aosom's customer service is good, at least at the moment.

  • FOUR MODES: Cool, ventilate, dehumidify and sleep: switches between keeping the area at a specific temperature, blowing the fan around, drying the moisture out of the air and gently increasing the temperature every hour. Two speeds to go slow or fast. Air blades can be moved up and down.
  • 24-HOUR TIMER: Set this portable air conditioner to turn on and off when you want - ideal for saving energy and especially perfect for nighttimes.
  • COMPACT, WITH WHEELS: Small, but mighty. This air conditioning unit can fit into smaller areas with ease. Four swivel wheels on the base to move around easily.
  • DUO CONTROL: LED screen to use when close, remote included to control from further away. Remote requires 2 x AAA batteries (not included).
  • WATER DRAINING PIPE AND SLIDING WINDOW KIT INCLUDED. MAXIMUM COOLING; 7000BTU. SUITABLE AREA SIZE: 10-15m². NOTE: Can only be used for sliding door windows, the exhaust hose is required to connect inside and outside when installing.

I probably wouldn't touch homcom. I just received my 9000btu Aircon (that also heats) that I bought with Amazon Spain for £183

I bought a HOMCOM 9,000 BTU model a few months ago, and happy so far. Good enough to cool down an average size bedroom.

I wouldn't buy a 7,000 BTU model however, as this is not enough, and the price difference with a 9,000 or 10,000 model is small.

I bought one from Robert Dyas 3 weeks ago. My room is arctic cold. Happy enough with it. Very loud though.

I don't know how people use these portable aircons. They are super loud so you cant really use it during the night on a timer; have a bulky exhaust that needs access to an opened window everytime you want to use it; needs the water to be drained regularly or a bucket to sit next to it which is a pain.

I've had my 7000 BTU Homcom for about 5 weeks from Robert Dyas too and have used it everyday except for this week. It cools the room really nicely

Same. Not this model though, good so far. But real test will be if it's still good in 12+ months

Bought a homcom product hot/cold fan heater. It stopped working after a couple of weeks, I honestly can't recommend their electrical products.

from experince I can tell you with confidence 7000 BTU is definitely not enough for 15m² room..it's not enough for 12 m² room even.it's good for a very small bed room.
you'll need 12000 BTU or more for a 15m² room.otherwise it will only be "spot" cooler and the compressor will have to work non-stop with mediocre cooling results. (edited)

Depends on what you mean by 'not enough'. My bedroom is about 15m2 and with the room properly sealed my 765W 7000BTU Homcom was enough to cool the room significantly during that recent 29 Degs C weather we had in London. It didn't reach the target of 18 degs when it was over 27 outside after 2 hours but was cooled enough so that I could sleep. (edited)
