While most people seem happy with them, there was apparently a bad batch a few years ago that were covered in oil and didn't work so well, so that sometimes explains some of the bad older reviews on YouTube and elsewhere. (edited)
It fits Evolution track or you can buy extra track at

A plunge saw you fix the depth but then plunge down to that depth.
A plunge saw can do an internal only cuts safely (may need finishing with normal saw in corners).
Both can run on compatible tracks ( some circular saws may need adapters )
Without a track the circular saw is better as you do not plunge.
IMHO plunge saws have better dust collection.
It comes with two rails in the box
These clamps - ebay.co.uk/itm…788 - fit and at £16 are a little cheaper than the Makita ones.
Can't justify dropping 200/300 on a second hand DeWalt or Makita.
From first hand experience Lidl have great returns with 3 year warranty so if it is poor then I'm confident I'll be able to get a refund.
