The 60v battery one has been fine mowing our orchard. Cuts about 1/4 acre on one battery, less if grass is in flower.

Sham_Ahmed

Yep...I bought one few months ago... engine cuts out when grass a bit long so end up doing two cuts at different levels. This was after I returned the bigger more powerful one as felt like it was expensive (£430) and more than what I needed.

I bought a Hyundai lawnmower a couple of years ago, looked good in brochures but sadly not so good mowing the lawn. Starting the engine is always a problem and it struggles cutting slightly tougher grass.

Also X1 (9.0 Flexvolt battery & Charger) for ~ £365 Normally when you max these discounts out £60 it's better to buy tool and battery separately but FFX have no batteries in stock on their own. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dewalt-DCM575X1-GB-54v-1x9-0Ah-Li-Ion-Flexvolt-Chainsaw-16in-40cm-/392193571730?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0

Don’t have this model have the 54v version and I’ve got a petrol Stihl chainsaw Since I bought the Dewalt I’ve never started my Stihl up as it’s easily as powerful, no messing with petrol and soooo much quieter

I presume the idea of something so bulky is for protection. However, do nylon, cotton and polyester provide much protection against a chainsaw ? I can't see it.

gootti

I can't see how these would get through a log either. No sharp edges on them.

iammienta

Looking for shorts version of those for hour weather

Banterlicious

These are useless. I was grinding away on a log for hours they barely scratched the surface.

Thanks really helpful.

Fishcakes23

I agree with this, I have cut railway sleepers with mine. So far, amazing value for under £40

Okay.

I've bought this previously but returned it to Amazon. If it isn't held horizontally then the oil won't lubricant the chain and it will just burn out and break. Also the chain falls off quite easily and it's a massive pain to keep cleaning out all the sawdust and putting it back in when it is oily. The oil provided is only enough for about 10-15 minutes so you'll need to go b&q to get more. The cable length isn't long enough and it kept tripping the fuses in my house when attached to an extension cable.

gazdoubleu

Some of these comments about the Screwfix Titan are misleading, it will cut way more that 3 inch branches, 10 inch plus in my experience.

Damn missed it. Out of stock

...it's normal to buy things you don't need.....in case you do ;-) Because, you can guarantee, when you do need it, you won't get one for double the price even....Well, that's my reasoning anyway, and I'm sticking to it :D

sienew

Looks cool, right? I'm going to pass though, I'm not sure I like the wire on a chainsaw. They are notoriously dangerous anyway even without having a cable to make things worse. £70 seems really cheap so voted hot

someone_new

I have no use for this but really want it

perkypig

...no risk....says like new....it will be new.....with a no quibble Amazon 1 year warranty...

Timmy_the_Tank

right, going for this then, brushless after all, I mean the battery alone sells for 75

IrishMan

Brilliant deal, I bought the bare tool when it was reduced for £130 2 months ago. :(

mrcashman

I would expect at least 20 mins

Timmy_the_Tank

can you expect this to run for longer than 5 mins on 5ah battery?
