The same model seems to be £300 on the Lenovo website, so a decent deal I guess? lenovo.com/gb/…8gb

got mine today, decent screen and performance, takes a bit to get used to the OS but once you learn it multitasking is possible with very minamal hiccups. Just dont expect it to be like an ipad or galaxy tab s8+.
Also there seems to be an issue with text and icon scailing in this tablet, even on the largest scailing settings text and icons can appear very small on youtube and chrome. I really didnt like this so I have returned it. it may not bother you but I got fed up by this. (edited)

Yep, in the end, this is what I really can't stand. (edited)

Does anyone know the process to ask for a £10 refund? lol

This or the new Fire Max 11?
    nonameduser's avatar
I was thinking the same, I tried sideloaded fire 10 but it still didnt cut it for me so got this on Wednesday and am really enjoying it. Has some great features that seem to be specific to Lenovo software. For example, Google entertainment is really useful as it combines all streaming apps into a nice dashboard layout, productivity mode also for flaoting apps and multitasking.

An amazon rating of 4.1 isn't very good.
    I know . . . not many reviews.
    kratos2019's avatar
that reviewer has software gripes. not performance or screen quality issues, apart from it lower ppi then his previous tablet. watch reviews on youtube and see if his gripes would bother you because some people think apple products are terrible, some people love them etc, but the specs and quality of those specs is pretty objective.

    Update:
after spending a few hrs with the tablet my only issue with it is the size of the text, icons and the layout of apps. the YouTube app everything is to small, its a different layout to the mobile and smaller android tablets, its operates a bit slower too.
The screen is very good, movies look great on it, colors may be a tad to saturated but its not an issue. The screen is not "retina" you can see pixels on icons if you look and focus on them but with general use you will not notice. General performance is fast, but not as snappy with the animations and some loading as premium tablets. speakers are good for a tablet but even a cheap Bluetooth speaker is going to be better.
Overall, its perfectly decent, good even at each activity one would do on a tablet, but it does have gripes which are fustrating because they seem to be software issues. (edited)

I look at it as a £200 tablet. I don't expect much for that. I suspect the odd bad Amazon reviewer expected a £500 tablet for £300.
    kratos2019's avatar
I would say this competitive with some £300 tablets, like the samsung galaxy tab s6 lite.

I brought this from the Currys deal yesterday, super nice so far!

Any update to android 13? Thanks.

I bought this, good so far. Only downside is the lack of fingerprint sensor (fast unlock for password managers) but for media viewing it’s great.

Can also confirm it has Widevine L1 for HD Netflix. (edited)

Hi thanks, do you mind letting me know what the standby time is like? For example how much battery drains overnight?

I have an old Samsung Tab A6, use it very infrequently and typically only need to charge it once every 10-14 days. Looking for something which uses very little battery on standby

    Thanks in advance

THey should have just put Android 12 on it not 12L.
    steve252's avatar
    Why? Isn't 12L the tablet-specific version of 12?

Just checked 3 Camels and it's the cheapest it's ever been

Can you write on it ? Sorry I’m not up to date with these windows devices as have moved on to Apple
    Eagerbeaver's avatar
It's Android not Win by the way. You can get a pen for it but that's extra. I've no experience of this so can't say how good to writing experience is on it but suspect it probably won't be great for that. It's more of a media device than productivity tool from what I can see.

Does anyone know any good keyboard and case for this model please

is this the same model that Argos are selling for £189.99? It doesn't mention Gen 2 but the promo images look to match those on Amazon's listing. Argos item number: 125/1717
    ps2trades's avatar
I believe the one on Argos is the 4gb ram version, this has 6gb of ram.
  13. james333's avatar
This or Honour Pad 8 ?
    duffinjonathan's avatar
This. More ram and 120hz screen for a tenner more.

Does this have sim slot so I can browse net while away from home? If not can anyone suggest similarly specced/priced tablet with sim slot? I don't get tablets without a sim slot, like the minute you leave your home wifi it's just a brick, no?

Some people just tethering it to their phone ... like me.

I've ordered one yesterday and it's arrived this afternoon. I've no idea why I've bought this other than the great comments on these threads about this tablet?
My purchase seems like the ultimate in consumer waste. I already have a 12" tablet which does most of what I want.
Oh well - new shiny toy.
  17. stonebear's avatar
I bought this to replace an aging Tab S5e, I think they are on a par for screen and sound, I like getting the updated Android too- the other option was to replace the battery in the S5e. I will see how it fares and whether to send it back or sell the S5e on Ebay. THe S5e is laggy and if the P11 isn't ttah would count in it's favour.

The guy who gave the bad review on Amazon should have changed to "gesture navigation"

Is this going to be as good as the pixel tablet? Can't see how the pixel would be faster?
    stonebear's avatar
Pixel tablet will be a lot faster

With the SD card slot this would make a pretty good emulation machine, up to PsP / Dreamcast etc quite easily (possibly GameCube)

Also, Pen wise, I have not tried this one myself, but it does have some decent reviews, and I have seen at least one Lenovo Tablet Owner saying it works for them... (If it doesn't easy to return I guess .., better than the £65 for the official).

in no days would I pay £300 for mediatek, £190 about right price and yet still personally would not touch it.
  21. stonebear's avatar
I will probably get a new battery for the S5e and send this back.
  22. diegopants's avatar
Does anybody know how to uninstall the bloatware on one of these ?
  23. diegopants's avatar
Class tablet this . Except I can't get the SD card to read as internal storage ? Anyone any ideas please
    Fiddles's avatar
I disagree it's let down by many things like the taskbar can't be removed with 3 button navigation a couple of apps says not compatible with this device I just tried screen mirroring and you get not sound only visual there are many software problems with this tablet
