    This feels like an excellent deal. You can use this using the SATA 6Gbit/s Interface so will work with all modern motherboards, and it's built for heavy lifting. At £‎13.44 / TB this is a good deal

    Do you have to buy a special interface to connect this say to an external hard drive caddie...can anyone tell me please.

    Yes, they're expensive so not worth it unless you already have the equipment.

    It doesn't help that the generic image used for these drives is the SATA drive, which likely confuses some people.

    You also have to be aware of the warranty. Although it's 5 years, the warranty is with the retailer only and most retailers won't warranty past 1 year or 2 at most, including Amazon.

    This one has Serial Attached SCSI interface(SAS) not the standard SATA
    They have misleading photo.
