Just went onto the Lenovo website and they seem to have some sort of Black Friday event on.

They have a few laptops on sale including the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11 for a reduced price of £1,405.99. Original price is £1,899.99

Just saw a Lenovo Legion Pro 5 with a base price of £1,070.16 - then clicking on build my pc and changed the specs to Ryzen 7 and 1TB SSD, and changed the screen to HDR 500nits, and changed the graphics to RTX 4070. Total price comes to £1,364.16.

This is my first time posting so wondering if anyone else thinks this is a good deal?

Ryzen 9 seems to bump the price up to £2,120.16.

    What's the GPU TDP?

Doesn't matter with 4060 or 4070, the power curve stops growing around 100w.

If you have access to rewards or education store then check those too in case you can again get free upgrade to 1tb ssd and free upgrade to 32gb ram. Saves you £270 more if they are free

Is the Ryzen 7 7745 worth £90 more than the Ryzen 5 7645?

I'm currently on mobile, but click sale at the top of the Lenovo website and then scroll down until you see the Legion 5, then click build from there. Last I checked, 80% of the vouchers had been claimed

Apparently the new Lenovo Pro 5 2023, and in the photo the old one from 2021

Not a bad price but the issue with this year's Legion 5 Pro is that it's barely faster than last year's version at the same price point. The new 4070 is at most a few percent faster than the 3070 Ti from last year so this year's Legion 5 Pro just doesn't represent the same value for money as before.

The 4070 only starts to win big when dlss3 and frame generation kick in.

The games I have on the 4070 that use both can see double the frame rates, and look a bit better, than same game with same settings on my pro 3070ti.

lol, as there are some heavy duty twits on here when I say same settings I mean everything except dlss2 vs dlss3...and frame generation vs no frame generation.

Bit gutted I got the G15 4060 in May for £1099, performance and build quality are fine but really hate the keyboard, just not worth ditching it and getting this for a better keyboard layout
