For Cool And Silent.
Crafted for the best balance between the thermal efficiency and silence by all the details.

Striped Axial Fan
Designed For Enhanced Airflow.
ASRock’s custom Striped Axial Fan delivers enhanced airflow to optimize cooling from not only the stripe structure on each fan blade but also the polishing surface on the bottom side.

Air Deflecting Fin
Guide Airflow To Go Through Regularly & Quickly.
Guide the airflow to go more regularly and quickly to enhance the cooling efficiency by the V-shaped cutting fins and the V-shaped air vents.

Ultra-Fit Heatpipe
Consolidated To Maximize The Contact.
The heatpipes are consolidated to maximize the contact among each others and also the GPU baseplate for the optimized heat dissipation.

Nickel-Plated Copper Base
Maximize GPU Contact Area.
With premium copper base heatsink design, the direct contact area to the GPU would be maximized to improve thermal transfer effectively.

High-Density Metal Welding
Improve Heat Dissipation.
Effectively isolate all coverage of the gap between pipe and stacked fins, hence improve heat dissipation effectively.

Nano Thermal Paste
Perfect Thermal Teamwork.
Eliminate the gaps in the contact area to maximize heat transfer and thermal efficiency.

Premium Thermal Pad
Better Heat Transfer.
The premium thermal pad helps to transfer the heat of the components to the heatsink, improving heat dissipation.

Precise Screw Torque
Optimized Mounting Pressure.
ASRock adopts precise screw torque when assembling its graphics cards to optimize the cooler mounting pressure to improve thermal efficiency while avoiding damage to GPU die.

0dB Silent Cooling
Spin For Cooling, Stop For Silence.
The fan spins when the temperature goes high for the optimal cooling, and stops when the temperature goes low for the complete silence.

Polychrome SYNC
Create Your Own Unique Colorful Light Effects.
With the integrated ARGB LEDs, you can create your own unique colorful light effects which can also be switched on and off. It can also be synchronized with your ASRock motherboards that support Polychrome SYNC.

LED On/Off Switch
On Or Off? Switch As You Want.
You can switch not only the built-in ARGB LEDs but also the ARGB LEDs equipping with the connected strips/devices at once.

ARGB Pin-Header
More ARGB, More Fancy.
With the ARGB pin-header, it can connect ARGB strips/devices to make the lighting effects more rich and vivid.

Reinforced Metal Frame
Enhances the structure to prevent the PCB from being bent.

Stylish Metal Backplate
Solid, Fancy, Cool.
Designed to avoid PCB bending. The fancy outlook makes the graphic card more legendary in visual. It also helps to enhance cooling with the premium thermal pads equipped backside.

Dr. MOS
Dr.MOS is the integrated power stage solution which is optimized for synchronous buck-set down voltage applications! Intelligently delivering higher current and driving up to 70A continuous current for each phase, thus providing improved thermal result and superior performance.

Premium 90A Power Choke
Compared to traditional chokes, ASRock’s premium 90A power chokes effectively make the saturation current up to three times better, thus providing enhanced and improved Vcore voltage to the graphics card.

Nichicon 12K Black Caps
Supreme 12K black capacitors with lifespans of at least 12,000 hours. Compared to other counterparts on high-end motherboards that merely have lifespans of around 10,000 hours, ASRock applied Nichicon 12K Black Caps that offer 20% longer lifespans and provide more stability and reliability.

2oz Copper PCB
Using only carefully selected copper materials for PCB layers, 2oz Copper PCB delivers lower temperature and higher energy efficiency for overclocking.

Matte Black PCB
A new mysterious matte black and copper color scheme to match the prestigious components on ASRock’s high-end graphics card.

High Density Glass Fabric PCB
High Density Glass Fabric PCB design that reduces the gaps between the PCB layers to protect the graphics card against electrical shorts caused by humidity.

ASRock Tweak 2.0
Pro And Easy-To-Use Tuning Utility.
Provides the smart fan speed control and instant performance tweaking.

8K Resolution Support
Not only can it handles 4K graphics but also supports the next generation 8K video output for the ultimate visual experience.

PCI® Express 4.0 Support
This graphics card features PCI® Express 4.0 support, with a throughput of 16 GT/s and enables two times the bandwidth compared to PCI® Express 3.0. Get ready for the next generation of PC gaming.

This offers the uncut die, but that is of little advantage over the 6800XT partially cut down die version. However the 6800XT does show quite big gains over the even more cut down die of the 6800(non-XT), but the 6800 is the sweet spot for performance per Watt. The 6950 is utterly lousy at performance per Watt at STOCK, but can be undervolted and underclocked to give great performance per Watt.

The problem is the price. At 560ish, the card is a hard sell over the 420ish 6800 (both have the same 16GB on the same size bus), unless you really really really need that extra performance, and don't care about the terribly high power draw.

Seems like a dodgy site as well? Reviews on Reddit aren't great.

Wondering if there's a similar price from another retailer, perhaps including Starfield?

It's not dodgy I've used it in the past , people who haven't had issues don't usually leave reviews so wouldn't think too much of them (edited)

    The Asrock site recommends 900W.

I'm more familiar with the MSI's similar 6950 XT Gaming X Trio.
On MSI's site, 850W is recommended for the Gaming X Trio.
Review site Guru3D recommends ("on your average system") 750W for standard 6950 XT cards and 800W for the tweaked Gaming X Trio version.

There will be some variation in power consumption based on the CPU used. So bear that in mind. I would assume the higher wattage values are trying to accommodate the more power-hungry CPU & GPU combos.

Unfortunately not from their website. The ebay listing is more expensive than this.

Just bought a 6800 XT for £500 and slightly regretting it seeing this. Was thinking of returning it because of a coil whine issue. Reckon its worth doing that and paying £50 more for this? (edited)

Yes. There isn't much in it in terms of price/performance, but this wins out. I looked into 4K benchmarks and this card's 1% lows are often higher than the 6800XT's averages.

If only the power consumption wasn't an absolute joke.

Good deal. But no free Starfield game, right? The Scam 6950XT does.

yeah not from TND i believe. obviously if you don't want starfield this might work out better though.

Would this 850W PSU - CORSAIR RM850 Gold - 90% Efficiency (High Gaming) be decent enough?

Does anyone have experience with the idle consumption on this one in a Linux environment? My intention is to use it in a gaming NAS but read horror stories about 100w idle.

But the 6950xt is worse than 7900xt for rasterisation (15-20%), raytracing, heat and power consumption and no AI capability whatsoever as well as no AV1 encoding support. With the 7900xt there is also 20gb vram as well and 2 further years of driver support and in all likelihood full support for FSR3.0 when it lands. I’d pay £200 extra for all those advancements and feature benefits on a new 7900xt. (edited)
