    Vanilla Poco F5 is a much better buy for most people. If you add a (false) birthday in the Mi app (click on icon just to the right of your email address) then you can often get a 20% off voucher valid for the month of your “birthday”. You can also change the date of your birthday once a year. So potentially you can get 2 x 20% off vouchers per account per year. There are so many offers on Xiaomi UK store, with points, new user offers etc. that you should never be paying full price! (edited)

    Yeah, especially since you can pick up the regular F5 for around £250 from AliExpress when vouchers are available. I love mine.

    Same as poco f5 pretty much. Just average. Better in daylight than dark. Plenty of reviews online. Not really the phone for cameras.

    Plenty of storage and RAM, nice SoC - the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is made by TSMC and runs fast and cool, nice screen. Has only IP53 certification, but it's protection may be good enough for IP68 with Poco saving some money getting a cheaper certificate.

    Just like F3 - this a very fast phone, but the cameras are lacking - the main camera has a tiny
    sensor compared to flagship models, the ultra-wide is only 8MB and there's no zoom lens.

    Decent, nothing to write home about but WAY over priced?

    Personally I don't think there's anything about the 500 quid mark that has all the Hardwear, battery tech, fast charging and a 120hz amoleddot screen ... Yeah the pixel would be the closest competitor at the price but it's main features are only its cam and the Google features.

    how good is the Mi company in comparison to Oneplus and Samsung. I would say Samsung is much more expensive, but usability is only a bit better, and prices hold a bit better, but for trade in values a lot better. Where does Mi fit in?

    I don't get rid of my phone's after a year or so, I usually buy well and then use them until they start to break or I have issues with them.

    Samsung's top end phones are some of the best if not the best in the world, BUT they arn't great value for money... If you get a lower spec phone yes you get the built quality but other than that you won't get the newest tech, it won't have some of the optional extras that mi phone have ect, and it's highly HIGHLY likely the phone will be overpriced from the get go.

    I have exact this model and memory configuration in black. Shipping took a month but only paid £357. Amazing device

    This does not dim the brightness under long heavy used as normal f5 does.
    And the build quality is superb, this has the glass back.

    Underscreen fingerprint sensor works very fast.

    . Would recommend 512 version. Also picked the below wireless charger that maxes out at 30 Watts and original redmi case
