Is receiving purchases in the UK from an EU Amazon website straightforward?
    hcc27's avatar
Receiving is fine, returns are complicated as we're now reaping the benefits of Brexit. I've dealt with the Germans, and it's a pita. First, their CS is nowhere near responsive or customer -oriented as ours is. You need to deal with customs documentation. Finally, the refund took ages after I chased them up multiple times. You'll get there in the end, but be mindful of what you may be in for. (edited)

how do i measure the increase over a orbi rbr20 system
I assume i can buy 4 of these instead of just 2?
    DigiDevil's avatar
It's very unlikely they beat an Orbi system.

How do the returns work on this? Can you return this item if it doesnt work as expected?
    cartwheelbob's avatar
You can but you have to pay return postage. I did this with some headphones from Amazon italy

Based on an Openwrt 18.06 SDK.
    forum.openwrt.org/t/a…/49

Issues, IPQ5000 is not yet supported by Openwrt itself so unless you have mad coding skills, you will not be able to run Stock Openwrt on these.

Could someone with experience put some light in to it please? Would something like this give a decent good signal 3 floors below with the usual joist timber floors? We got the virgin media hub5
    Thanks (edited)

Anecdotally, I have a 3 floor new build town house so no concrete floors, thin plasterboard walls etc lol

    And one of these: argos.co.uk/pro…7:8

aNd it works pretty great. Can get near enough full ISP speeds on the top floor but it can't penetrate the outside walls and no signal in the garden

I don't have experience with the Hub 5 but our Hub 3 is roughly the same. Fine across probably 1 or 2 concrete walls but suffers greatly after that.

To be honest I'd rather invest in an ethernet run up to the top floor and a (cheaper) router there or powerline. Anything else is just trying to make good of a bad situation. You have to go really hard onto enterprise grade stuff like Ubiqiti otherwise and the cost isn't worth it

Recieved mine today. Anyone recommend some small form-factor EU to UK plug converters?

Would they fit these perhaps? (edited)

Late to the party but I got these for mine and they hit the spot. It's a pack of 3 and with the voucher are about £9.90.

    amazon.co.uk/gp/…VSH

First impressions of the mesh are good, seems fast enough but I'll switch to a wired back haul.

There's not a lot of configuration options in the web ui or app but they run openwrt so should be room for some DIY improvement. (edited)

Are the returns sketchy with amazon.it? Just wondered what happens if they break... heat added though! (edited)

Would this be able to supply inverse reactive current for use in unilateral phase detractors, as well as automatically synchronise cardinal grammeters?
    Wooj's avatar
Depends on the settings of your flux capacitor

Should be a little bit less than £64 if you choose to pay in EUR with a card that doesn't charge commission on foreign transactions.

How is the bandwidth link speed split up, for example, with 5Ghz is 2402mbps split across 2 streams so is it 1202mbps per link?
    johnro's avatar
The two bands offer a combined dual-band wireless speed of up to 2976Mbps

How does this compare to the TP link Deco S4 please? I’ve just bought the 3 pack version and not sure whether to switch to this.

    Thank you

Specs on this are better & also seems lower in price currently?
  23. GrimDanFango's avatar
Shame these aren't tri-band. Better to have a dedicated backhaul in my experience
  24. nathan18k's avatar

Looks like it has expired. Getting 180

If it comes back in stock would this be noticeably better than the Vodafone hub router on a 63mb connection? (edited)

    116,35€ for me with 25,42 € postage

Looked a decent deal at the lower price though. Would want to investigate potential backdoors though
