sorted byI assume i can buy 4 of these instead of just 2?

Issues, IPQ5000 is not yet supported by Openwrt itself so unless you have mad coding skills, you will not be able to run Stock Openwrt on these.
Thanks (edited)
And one of these: argos.co.uk/pro…7:8
aNd it works pretty great. Can get near enough full ISP speeds on the top floor but it can't penetrate the outside walls and no signal in the garden
I don't have experience with the Hub 5 but our Hub 3 is roughly the same. Fine across probably 1 or 2 concrete walls but suffers greatly after that.
To be honest I'd rather invest in an ethernet run up to the top floor and a (cheaper) router there or powerline. Anything else is just trying to make good of a bad situation. You have to go really hard onto enterprise grade stuff like Ubiqiti otherwise and the cost isn't worth it
Would they fit these perhaps? (edited)

First impressions of the mesh are good, seems fast enough but I'll switch to a wired back haul.
There's not a lot of configuration options in the web ui or app but they run openwrt so should be room for some DIY improvement. (edited)
Thank you
If it comes back in stock would this be noticeably better than the Vodafone hub router on a 63mb connection? (edited)
Looked a decent deal at the lower price though. Would want to investigate potential backdoors though
