Still have to pay extra for boost to make it watchable, quality is terrible

Completely agree. It should be HD as standard because the amount of money Sky makes is crazy!

I think the mobile offer is a steal if you don't mind watching it on your phone. Did this last year and was great.
I fancied having it on the telly this year so I called virgin yesterday and got sky sports HD and BT sport added for £28 a month extra so might be worth trying that if you're interested in it

You don't get all the channels and you can only watch it on your phone. It's bad.

It is on the front page. No need to log in

    Available to everyone it seems

    Still far too expensive.

it should be 10- 15 quid.
It doesn't make the clubs any better off financially, it doesn't subsidise cheaper tickets or a better matchday experience.

All it does it move games to mad times and line the pockets of football players and agents.

Ran a pub for a few months two years ago for a mate of mine. Just a small local pub. £1300 a month we paid for sky sports, and that was two years ago. People before him tried 'only' paying @ £25 a month and ended up with a 5 figure fine. In my humble opinion, that's where the real rip off is.

edit: just remembered one night when we couldn't get sky sports to work. You'd think if you're paying £1,300 a month you'd have your own dedicated service and some sort of VIP treatment, right? Not with sky you don't. we waited ages to get through, even then the guy through no fault of his own was untrained in issues like this. We had to wait until 9am the next working day ( office hours) to actually speak to any sort of expert. Absolutely horrific (edited)

If anyone is with Virgin Media, they do a stream box which you can add on Sky Sports HD for £18.75 per month on a rolling 30 day contract. I'd say that would be a better choice for price and flexibility. They also offer BT / TNT sports for £10. They can give you 10% discount on those prices too.

I managed to get the stream box for free when I negotiated my contract renewal.

My current deal was due to run out in about 2 weeks so this is ideal.
    Thanks alot for spotting it.
I used to get it for about £15 but I also used to get my food shopping for £100 a month less than it is now
    Heat added

My deal just came to an end, when I tried to cancel I was given for £17.99 per month

I took this 4 months ago when they offered it to renew an existing £16/month one that expired, with no contract or time period along with £2 for the enhanced picture/sound. Have all 11 sports but only watch F1. Best deal I could get. Thanks NOW. HOT 'cause I have it.

    brown_ambassador's avatar
12 months? Last year close to season start I got 12months @ £20, that's what I'm waiting out for/hoping for!

Thanks for posting OP. I cancelled my current sub to take this and they offered me £19.99 for 6 months to continue so I took that. I love NOWTV.

Was going to get this when I seen the offer. Then read the comments on here.

I recently upgraded to a 65” LG OledC2 tv, and was blown away by the quality of the screen. So thought it might be time to begrudgingly pay for live football again.
But it seems I wouldn’t even get a quality picture for premier league matches.
No point in having a decent screen resolution and having to put up with a low quality picture….so do sky not broadcast in 4k ?
    Jimb0's avatar
Yes LG is still only 30fps.
I’ve been waiting for the update for webOS.
It’s a lot of money for a poor stream.
