Bought my Clio pre-reg 1.5 dCi Auto Dynamic S Nav (4 months old) with only 15 miles on it and 2 years free service for £11,750 back in 2016. Now done 104k on it and running solid. Wish I could find another deal similar and want to stick to Diesel.

104k miles in a diesel car - the amount of cancerogenic pollution and CO2 you've produced...

Looks like something that should be £10-12k at best

You could buy a new family car for £1000 in the early 1970s. What point does it cease to make any sense comparing today's prices with those in the past? They are never going to go back to what they were. The thing is though that most people's pay hasn't kept up with recent inflation, that's what hurts.

Absolute rip off! You could get a brand new Ford Cortina for £975 not that long ago in 1973. It even came with a rear wash wipe. I'd rather have 19 Ford Cortinas thank you very much.

Any offers on Cortinas? Sounds a good deal.
