    Will these work as replacements to the original controllers on the side of the original non oled switch?

    Not exactly. They work as intended (mainly for the NES games with NSO membership) but due to the limited number of buttons some games won't work at all, and others need the buttons remapping. They do work for Mario Kart 8, but with some functions missing (rear view mirror).
    These will also work with a Switch lite, but you need a non-lite switch also to charge them as these charge in the same way as joycons (edited)

    Just the NES. These have had two 50% off sales and a 30%. SNES and N64 haven't been in stock long enough for them to need to reduce them

    Why would you even want to use these for anything else most other games use more than 2 buttons.

    Cheers OP, not for these specifc controllers as I already have a NES mini and getting these too would be a bit silly if I never play on that anyway.

    Noticed the N64 controllers were back in stock too so went for one of those with student discount

    You can use these on the nes mini if you have the Bluetooth adapter

    I did want to get these for my son. He's got a nintendo switch online account but isn't allowed to buy them as he's only 13. I am obviously old enough but i haven't got a nintendo switch online account. Nintendo support haven't helped, other than restate the problems to me in an email. Has anyone got any suggestions?

    Free trial? Not tried, but if you activate the 7-day free trial then maybe that's enough.

    Waiting on them myself and have been for ages. Last time they were restocked, they didn't email me an alert and I only found out on HUKD, by which time they were gone.

    This seems odd to me, why would you order one of the worst controllers ever made? My hands hurt just thinking about when I played the original NES as a kid.

    That's more the price they should have been in the first place, but I'm more inclined to just buy an 8bitdo NES controller board at this point. I'd rather be able to use an actual cable to charge it.

    Why the hell do these have a limit of 2 per customer?! I'm pretty sure the maximum number of players for NES games is 2!? *Edit: I am wrong! There are 4 player NES games (there was a NES multitap adapter). **Though I'm not sure any of them are on the NES NSO app (edited)

    If these controllers mainly only work on nes games, what happens when Nintendo closes the nso in future like their older eshops?
    Will these become useless?
    I probably stick to an 8bitdo controller where you can use it on pc too if that's the case
    However great deal if you want it now and get a good few years use of them

    They just work via Bluetooth so can be used with anything AFAIK. I imagine Nintendo will keep the NSO service running on to the next console (and keep it active on Switch)
