Thanks, sajidtg. Might be only available for City Fibre enabled areas. For me, showing £42 per month.
    Rizzzzzzywow91's avatar
That's correct - this is the CityFibre price - you're in an Openreach area which costs more and doesn't offer the same speeds in upload.

Also need to factor in midcontract price rises of RPI + 3.9% in April 24 and April 25 into the total cost.

As it's based on inflation can only guess but maybe about 9% increase in April 24 making the headline £29pm about £31.60 and hopefully 6% increase in April 25 leading to £33.50.

Assuming you go live in Sep 23
    8 X 29 = 232
    12 X 31.60 = 379
    4 X 33.50 = 134

Estimated total cost before discounts £745 or about £31 a month average.

With discounts of £115 it's about £26.25 a month not including the voda mobile customer £3 a month discount (edited)

Yeah was stuck with them for 2 years due to contract and whilst service was good, being stuck with 2 rpi rises is really annoying. Also feels like they only do 2 year contracts for this reason alone

Beware that their customer service is rivalled only by Virgin for being f.... awful. I've got them at the minute, no problems with the actual product, but if you need to speak to them, good luck!

    For the love of god!!!

Put "City Fibre" in the title.

This is available in the top 5 cities in the UK only.

I’m on this package in Northampton. It’s not even a city, let alone a top 5 one.

I've recently had city fibre enabled in my area, but I'm with plusnet, get 55mb down 18mb up, I have until next Sept in contract so if I ended would need to pay them about £200 to end early.

I was with Vodafone a few years back and mostly worked, but on the odd occasion there was a problem their customer services were poor at best.

Anyone on their fibre product with city fibre that can comment on their recent experience and speeds with them?

    Many thanks.

Here is my experience,we have also had city fibre recently installed in my area and went for a similar Vodafone deal to this one,on the day of the installation city fibre came and said they they had a problem attaching the cable from the telegraph pole as they
needed access to 6 neighbours back gardens from me to attach it and get permission to go into there back gardens(what are the chances them been in at the same time and also granting permission)(lol) and to make matters worse when they found out that wasn’t possible they said they can attach a cable to a another telegraph pole further away with no back gardens in the way but it might degrade your signal so i said you’re a joke and told them to leave and stayed with virginmedia, never again. FYI, I took a similar offer last year and Topcashback is still pending after a year. They have even stopped responding to my messages. Just a caution to not let cashback influence your decision.

may be better able to advise on timelines so that everyone is aware. (edited)

Changed your post code to mine & it changes to £37.21 per month.
Also when you go through to Vodafone, only select packages (usually 100mb & under) are deducted by £3 for being a current mobile customer.
    Iru786's avatar
Same here. Show £42 for me.

The worst router I've had from any supplier, if you're getting this make sure you buy something decent if you use WiFi.
    Grant_C's avatar
Is it just the wireless thats crap? What make and model is it? Thanks

When you do the search on TCB, do you buy through that or go through from the TCB Vodafone page?

When does the gift cloud stage happen?
    Grant_C's avatar
    Sign in to TCB
    Search Vodafone
    Click a deal
A pop up will say your visit has been recorded
    Purchase as normal from vodawebsite.
In my experience of using TCB the visit will be recorded, you can even see this in TCB, login, go to your profile icon and then earnings, top left will say clicks to merchants. Issue might come is the claim wont show up so might have to do what I did, contact them which is quite easy as think it happens a lot, give them your voda order number, they will check and issue your CB.

Not voting. I used tcb when I signed up to Vodafone broadband and it didn't track. Raised a ticket and has been almost a year and it still states on the ticket, waiting for Vodafone to respond. So if you buy beware that it may not track and you may not get the tcb element. (edited)

Cracking deal that, showing for me in a CF area.

I’ve had Vodafone through CityFibre for five months, it is very fast but do yourself a favour and buy a better wireless solution.

The Wi-Fi in this hub is mediocre at best and drops out frequently. Wired is solid though.

I had an awful experience with Vodafone recently. Took a 200mb package. Speed tests to their servers worked fine. But to any other server it was dreadful. Couldn't stream anything. Their customer services tried to convince me that to get 200mb speed I was only allowed to connect up to 4 devices via the Ethernet ports, and as I had 30 odd devices connected to the WiFi, I had to split the 200mb by that many devices and that's how much each device would receive. I was absolutely shocked that they were trying to tell me this as fact and immediately terminated my contract within the 14 day cooling off period. Even that didn't go correct, and they charged me for the following 2 months. I'd had Vodafone previously and it was fine. This time round has scared me. You can see how they can take advantage of vulnerable people who don't understand how the technology works.

You could have gotten a decent mesh WiFi system added to Voda's router and be able to connect a lot more devices through WiFi (100s or more depending on which system you choose!). This is really straightforward to do. Mesh WiFi systems will give you a decent range for your WiFi.

To improve your speed, perhaps consider Access Points (APs). These can a bit more complex to set up than mesh WiFi systems but yield better speeds and reach (you may need more than one depending on how big your home is).

If you are struggling with Ethernet ports, you need what is called an Ethernet Switch. An Unmanaged Ethernet Switch is literally just plug and play.

The routers that most ISPs provide are pretty rubbish and if your Internet needs are anything more than the basics, you may need one or more of the above. It's annoying having to purchase additional stuff to get better Internet but c'est la vie.

Vodafone also bave a Pro package that guarantees better speed and reach through a better router but you're still better off with one of the above.

Hopefully this comes in handy for your next ISP... All the best. (edited)

Great deal if you are a new customer. Treat current customers not so well
  16. Clangerette's avatar
Don't do it! They send you a rubbish router and then tell you they only guarantee the speed up to your outside wall. We are stuck with them for nearly another year and can only get wifi in the room the router is in! Be warned, the ombudsman sided with them. Then to add insult to injury they put the price up and there's nothing you can do about it. Am trying to warn as many people as possible
    TheBargainMan's avatar
thats like all the suppliers though

I m with VM and they have been excellent with new wifi6 router and pods . Even on pods I am getting 700Mbps on my 1gig line (edited)

I followed the link from TCB and it popped up with the voucher offer, I typed in my email, clicked 'get started' and then purchased.

Then I noticed I had an email saying 'purchase it from the link below'.

Hopefully I will still get the offer? Should be the same link...?

I ordered the 100mb deal few days ago. No router had arrived yet or anything, similar deal with a gift card (but for £130), am I able to cancel that and go with this?
    CraigeDavido's avatar
Yes you should be able to, you should get a 14 day cooling off period, so just cancel, and go with this deal. I think this price is for city fibre cabled areas, openreach is a little more
  20. horstachio's avatar
You might want to be careful with your link. It's given us your historical search history for addresses...
    SparklingFruits's avatar
It hasn't, it's just pre populated with a postcode
  21. Quicklite's avatar
Was curious what the symmetrical speed would feel like. Got quoted for 40meg down at the address instead. Politely ended the call soon as I could. Will stick with 1 gig VM.
    Grant_C's avatar
The email I got says 910 up and 910 down.

IMPORTANT: This deal is post code related - price for 910Mb varies due to instalation location
