I have the mark 4 Xperia 5 , can't fault it been using mine for year without any issues, mines never heated up y battery lasts all Day,love the 21.9 form factor has it's really easy to handle this phone with it's compact size, camera is amazing took 100s off photos with accurate results, love the dedicated shutter button. This is good price for a flagship considering you get a pair of headphones too

I regret now for not going for 1V at launch with the XM5.. (edited)

    For £400 more?

    It's really not worth this.

The Xperia 5 IV is very similar

    Same screen /battery/size /build quality
Differences are: the mkV has two instead of 3 lenses but higher megapixels
Ever so slightly quicker processing and a couple of tweaks in the camera/video/speakers. Different colour available too.
I would personally get a 5 MKIV like new phone from Giffgaff for £350 or Xperia 1 MKIV (better phone) for £450 from same place .....when they come available again

    For anyone who's not used one of the Xperia phones;
Yes I have one and thoroughly recommend. Perfect size for me and excellent build quality.

30GB SIM only is £11/month clubcard price fixed for 2 years with free roaming (was in 2023 at least)

    Giffgaff have great offers too.

Free Headphones.... not bad but do you really need another pair?
I prefer headphones that fold too as more convenient (these don't) (edited)

It is worth noting that this has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC which runs significantly cooler than the Gen 1 in the 5 IV - if having a hot phone bothers you at all, also the new camera sensors are of a completely new technology compared to last years model, improving low light performance by a significant margin. Basically it's a decent upgrade but will be available with some hefty discounts in a couple of months.

Is they any way of knowing if the monthly line rental includes a discount? Reason I ask is the increase Vodafone apply will be based on the non discounted costs. Therefore you could be paying £3-4 a month more as of April (edited)

Heat excellent deal if you're after this model

Had my eye on this release (although thought it was going to be o2 exclusive!).

Looks like a really good bang for buck, without having to go for one of the cheaper Chinese models.

Is this a good mid-range handset in your opinion, ?

Anything you think offers better value for money at this price point? (edited)

I wouldn't even say it was mid range, more premium than that.

One of the only decent phones these days with a MicroSD slot. Bit pricey for me though.

How can I check what the roaming charges would be with this specific Vodafone deal?

You have only added on 12 months of the £13pm I think?
