    50729530_1.jpgIam abroad now and this is a picture of fuel pump I used yesterday to fill up my car with premium unleaded which is much higher quality than what we have in UK. It is 15 cent a litre in the country currency.... Equivalent to 2 pence a litre. I just topped up with 10 litres at a cost of.... 25 pence. Just shows how much we are being ripped off in the UK.

    By the way this price is fixed and has been like this for many many years. It does not fluctuate with whole sale price from day to day (edited)

    Wholesale cost of diesel went up about 7p a litre a week or so ago.

    That has started to feed through to the pumps now. Petrol and diesel have gone up round here (West Edinburgh) by between 3p and 8p in the last week, depending on the garage. Shell was putting the price up by 1p or 2p pretty much every day. (edited)

    Petrol & Diesel prices are on the increase again. I see supermarkets fuel charging what they think they can get away with in local areas. Supermarkets used to be at least 5p a litre cheaper but now are happy to be 1p cheaper than branded fuel to me it's profiteering supermarkets are happy to charge as much as they can in the local area & Branded fuel are happy with supermarket fuel being just 1p cheaper. There's no reason why supermarket fuel isn't the same price nationwide other than competition or lack of. It's a shame Lidl & Aldi doesn't open fuel Stations to create meaningful competition.     It's creeping up again. I was paying £1.32 for unleaded a few weeks at my cheapest local, now £1.37, my most expensive local is £1.47, most others are around £1.41-£1.42.

    I guess people like me don't just go for fuel, I end up going inside and buying some crap, so win win for them, put the prices cheap to get you to go and in the hope you think "let's nip in the shop while we're here"

    Actually their unleaded petrol is the cheapest in Leeds by 3p per litre compared to any other petrol station in Leeds. It's also joint cheapest compared to any other Costco petrol station apart from Oldham - which is just 1p cheaper. (edited)

    1.36 in Liverpool yesterday, 1.33 a few days before and 1.29 a couple of weeks ago (diesel). Its a shame there's not a way of knowing your in the good old days before you leave them. (edited)

    Not really a deal, regular unleaded and diesel £1.35.9 at Costco Thurrock. Don't really understand why the price can't be the same at all Costco stores.

    Being ripped off here in Milton Keynes, the cheapest unleaded here is now £147.9 and has not been below £143.9 since Covid days. Hope this is investigated as these companies are taking us for mugs!
