Great little machines, can happily take a twin fan GPU, and better still you can install 4 x NVMe drives, although the slots are only GEN3.

It has two gen 4 slots - one in the compute element and another underneath the unit. The other two slots in the compute element are gen 3.

Nice. Shame Intel are shutting down their NUC division and support.

I think ASUS have taken over creation of future NUC units and said something about support too, so don't know if they'll support the current batch?!?

    OOS now

Try stuff-uk. Several deals from them for this unit on here previously. They don't have any in stock, but place the order when you pay, and have given stock availability dates for mid August.

Shame you can't get any 3.5inch drives in these - would be an ideal Plex server.

I was thinking just the same. Still running an old microserver gen8

I've gotta say its a nice unit, temps are really good for it's size and it's not exactly loud either. 6700xt sitting at around 65 in games and similar for cpu.

This is it in an IKEA kallax, to show you how small it is!

Which brand 6700Xt have you gone for? I understand anything more then 2-slots high is a no-no in the case.

    no gpu?

    None included no.

Do these things get loud? I have a 8th gen Nuc and the fan is usually constantly on and loudish

There was something on gamersnexus about the fan curve being weird but easily changeable

Great spec if you want a small ITX-sized setup that can accommodate a midrange GPU . the i7 in here is equivalent to a 5700x, albeit you'll be limited to slower RAM

I think and equivalent ITX setup will cost at least £500?
    hcc27's avatar
Agree, and it can be a PITA to get a full sized GPU in to most ITX cases with efficient cooling. YouTube reviewers comment on the high build quality of this system. I believe Intel also give a 3y warranty on this, and someone on here commented that they received a replacement unit directly from Intel for an issue when they had purchased it from a 3rd party seller. For a self-build ITX system you're usually looking at a 1y warranty on the components.

Size-wise as well, this has a tiny footprint (12cm wide) compared to half-decent ITX/Mini-ITX cases e.g. the Fractal Design Torrent Nano, one of the top rated cases in this form factor, is a whopping 22cm wide! (edited)

Does anyone know what the differences are between the 'EU', 'UK' and 'NC' suffixed versions of this system?
These three appear at slightly variant price points with multiple sellers (usually between £430 and £460). The hardware specs appear to be identical.

    Good find OP, heated.
    ktown's avatar
Ah I didn’t notice the different suffix. No idea because it doesn’t come with a lead!

Was going to build an itx pc.. Saves the faff, almost bought last time but gave in now..

Any objections to this ram kit?

CL22 some people will hate that.

    Another £10 gets you CL16

There was something about Frontier Edition GPUs getting suffocated in these, is that actually the case. Might get one for use with my 3060Ti FE if it's good. Also does the GPU slot have PCIe Gen 4?
    ktown's avatar
Wish they’d named it the frontier edition. Sounds so much better. The apparent issue with those is that the fan will blow onto the psu. There’s a video from Intel saying that they haven’t noticed any issues. And yes PCIE 4

Anyone got experience with these? Can I just put in my standard sized GPU and SSDs and off we go?
    ktown's avatar
+ laptop ram and yes then it’s blastoff

Thanks OP, just received mine early (I opted for 5 days free shipping like a true HUKDer)
I purchased this slightly on impulse and pleasantly surprised how small it is compared to an e-GPU enclosure. Had a nice unboxing experience (One of the more classy packaging). Hope the fans don't get too loud in this thing

    How is it?

I missed the delivery on Friday by 4 minutes and DHL won't attempt until tomorrow.

I have a 4070 or a 6700xt to pick between to put in!

Damn, thought I found this cheaper, but delivered (and in one case, with customs fees), we're looking at £500+. Anyone found anywhere with it cheaper?
