Most cheaper phones don't have a great camera - best thing for that right now is the Note 12 Pro, which has a good 50MP main shooter with OIS. The OIS is very rare in that price range. So if you've used anything not-flagship in the past and thought it was good enough, you'll be happy.
How much different will this be to normal systems. What can't you do or have to do differently
They seem to get a good rep otherwise
I bought the X5 Pro 5G, it has MIUI 14, but is only on Android 12. Its only going to be getting 13 in the next 6 months, when other brands may be on Android 14 by then
the Samsung A52 i upgraded from (a 2 yr old phone) was on 13.
Also lacking in comparison will be...
- Length of software updates & support - probably at most 2 years on this with no guarantees, while the P7 is guaranteed to be supported with Android version updates unitl October 2025 & security updates until October 2027.
- MIUI skin which is Marmite in nature (also slower & glitchier) vs pure Android
- Lack of wireless charging
Voted accordingly
This compares well in many areas, however I've touched on some of the downsides here hotukdeals.com/com…170 - cameras will be noticeably poorer.
Heat added.
