I have one, lower storage, don't really use it. Thought I would use it for magazines and pdfs.

Real slow to charge using phone charger.

Use the charger that came with it and it charges rapidly

Remember the 1 & 2TB models have the extra RAM.

Great deal, I got one recently when a similar post came up.

I have the smaller pro M1 and for once I think Apple over did it - there is just nothing which pushes it and its power is hamstrung by the OS.

If you think this is a replacement for a air don't its not, get the air and save money on a cheaper iPad this is not going to replace a MacBook, well not without too many compromises, or for very few people.

If you do only want a tablet with a big screen then yeah get this but don't be surprised to feel a little underwhelmed

Also feels like its battery drain on standby is a step backwards for some reason as it drains a lot

On the case I went for the Logitech combo keyboard case, cheaper than the apple and does offer more protection (edited)

    Battery Drain on Standy…

my 11” M1 Pro had same issue, but once I put a case on it, was fine - case that turns it off (and is advertised to slow battery discharge), mine was an ESR similar copy to Apple own. This means Hey Siri doesn’t work though.

putting iPad screen down might have same effect. I suspect the touch screen to wake sucks more juice in standby that the home button to wake.

After 2 months use only thing I really like on Pro, is the 8/16gb ram, much better than the 3gb on iPad 9th. Makes a big difference with 2 particular web sites, Facebook and Daily Mail - note I have little empathy for daily mail journalism, but like to know what some folk believe.

Jeez, when did an iPad start to cost a grand (not voted)

    Quite a while ago sadly

Even despite double storage and more ram, I think the 512gb deal at 769 was a better offer (or maybe I’m biased because that’s the one I got). Paired with an 80 quid pencil and its a great tablet experience:)

Back in stock again but still no extra discount like the 11”, sad times.

That keyboard case looks cool af but I have a feeling it's expensive af too

Yes - the RRP is around £350

I think it’s worth it though

Nice, wish it was there as a laptop replacement but don't think Ipados has cracked it yet.

It’s sadly not for more advanced users, apple being apple would sell less macbook if they improve ipados too much . Also the weight attached to a magic keyboard is heavier than a 13 macbook m1 or m2 (edited)
