sorted by1.)Pennsylvania Style
95% Rye and 5% Malted barley. No corn.Spiciest taste. MGP 95/5 mashbill is a famous example of this and is what Bulleit 95 is made from.
2.)Maryland Style
Typically 60% to 70% Rye.Has corn.Less common. JD Rye is an example.
3.)Kentucky Style
51% to 55% Rye and the rest is malted barley and corn.
The sweetest of the trio of styles. A famous example is Sazerac.

Apart from their past popularity ratings, the main difference between Rye and Bourbon is in their main ingredients.
According to the US law, Bourbon must be distilled from mash that’s at least 51% corn, while Rye Whiskey must be at least 51% Rye. The remaining 49% in both cases can be another grain. The grains used for distillation influence the flavour profile of the final drink. Corn and wheat tend to be sweet, while rye is spicy.

The extra info added to the OP is incorrect.
The "Current Prices Elsewhere" are for the standard Bulleit Bourbon whiskey, not the Bulleit Rye version.
Waitrose don't sell the rye version.
Ocado currently have this rye version for the same £22 price.

Can't refuse at this price
& Reccomended. JD's Rye has more more-ish-ness but this tastes stronger. cos 45%abv.
Their regular orange label has given me headaches somehow, only whiskey that's ever done that. This doesn't.
sadly I’ve committed to no drink until Christmas after a rather excessive summer break but something to look forward to!
