Developed in collaboration with professional race drivers, the Playseat Evolution is a bit special. The authentic GTR sitting position tricks your mind into thinking you’re in a real racing car. Thanks to some stunning and superior technology, the seat translates the force feedback from your steering wheel perfectly to help you get both better and faster in no time.

Made with a silver frame and upholstered with durable black vinyl, this gaming chair has been cleverly created for quick and easy assembly. The seat can fold forwards to help save space when the arcade needs to be placed temporarily on hold. Additionally, the seat, pedals and wheel bracket can all move; helping to provide the optimal race position, tailored to suit any driving style.

The Evolution Gaming Chair is compatible with any gaming wheel and pedal set, along with Playstation, Xbox, PC and Mac. Set your equipment up easily, fine-tune for comfort and get ready to win.

I’ve just had one delivered and setup with a g920 and i’m very happy with it so thought i’d post it as a deal as I couldn’t see it cheaper from a mainstream retailer. The next cheapest I could find was £236 aty Very.

If you're on a budget and want something that fold away, buy some ply wood, some planed smooth timer, some hinges, and a handle

Folding camping chair and an ironing board is all you need.

On the off chance: are there any experts here on proper flight sim set-ups or know which community I can approach for advice?

I am looking to build a flight-sim 'rig' as a project by/with my 12-year-old son who already has a powerful PC, good monitor and VR headset. Obviously the high-end stuff can be thousands of pounds, but we are propably looking at a budget of £1k for the controls etc. Much of the fun is doing the build and learning about the kit, so it would be good to find people who could point us in the right direction. Thanks.

I owned this but didn't like it.The stand attached to the seat isn't in the most comfortable position. I don't remember what it was but it didn't feel right. This might be more suited to younger people. The playseat challenge is better than this, in my opinion. (edited)

Other seats are more comfortable and a lot more expensive. I wanted a cheap decent racing seat and this was the best I could find under £200. I paid more than this for similar when the ps3 was released.

Good price for sure. If I had more spare space I'd give this a shot!

For those looking at fold-up alternatives I've been using the Playseat Challenge for about 5 years. My mate picked one up second hand on FB marketplace recently for £100 and it was in very good condition.

Great price. I bought one and the logictec g29. Used like 4/5 times. Adult life sucks and I had no time to use it/had to put working out and family first. Thankfully made my money back. Might help some of you who might be in the same boat.

Great starting point, lots of better solutions but for the money this is a great buy

It's ok if you are using a lower end wheel or pedal set. But I wouldn't recommend this for a direct drive wheel or pedals with a load cell.

Far too much flex on both the pedal mount and wheel mount with higher end gear.

I do have one of these with a Fanatec CSW v2.5 base and the CSL Load cell pedals. But I've had to modify the absolute life out of it to make it sturdy. (edited)

Does that metal bar get in the way of the pedals it seems like it would be annoying to use
