sorted byI got this offer 2 months ago. I was previously on voxi pay as you go. The data speeds I was getting indoors were 5G 100-150mbps. As you can see from the image the signal on o2 is 5G and 2 bars same as my strength from voxi but the o2 signal is very poor. I have done a few speed test and never get above 10mbps. This is not a problem as I have Wi-Fi at home. I have also tested the data speed a few times when travelling about and the speeds are much slower than voxi and three. For reference my kids are on voxi and three and I have compared the speeds on their devices for reference. Although this is a brilliant deal I would consider this before getting it.
Sorry I must add to this when I am out and about I have had no issues with phone signal wise it’s just the data speeds. Out and about I am not getting over 50-75mbps where as the kids phones on voxi ‘ three in same locations on 5G are 150-500mbps. (edited)
So heat from me.
horrible network. Aweful speed! Avoid
The 4G speed of O2 in my area is better than EE 5G (edited)
I'm trying to get my teenage son a SIM only deal and this looks great
How do I swap to this and keep my old number???
It's very easy and simpler
EDIT: Got it to work. It's very cheeky of them, but you just have to click past the page where it says you have to pay it off, and they said "We've reduced your fee to £0.00" - how gracious!
