I got this offer 2 months ago. I was previously on voxi pay as you go. The data speeds I was getting indoors were 5G 100-150mbps. As you can see from the image the signal on o2 is 5G and 2 bars same as my strength from voxi but the o2 signal is very poor. I have done a few speed test and never get above 10mbps. This is not a problem as I have Wi-Fi at home. I have also tested the data speed a few times when travelling about and the speeds are much slower than voxi and three. For reference my kids are on voxi and three and I have compared the speeds on their devices for reference. Although this is a brilliant deal I would consider this before getting it.

Sorry I must add to this when I am out and about I have had no issues with phone signal wise it’s just the data speeds. Out and about I am not getting over 50-75mbps where as the kids phones on voxi ‘ three in same locations on 5G are 150-500mbps. (edited)

Hi it's working now for me so should be ok, if you're interested in purchasing would be better to go through tcb - moneysupermarket mobile select SIM deals find the deal you want, it's £12 cashback.

Do not go on o2 they have cheap prices because the network is rubbish. The 5G hardly works, it says 5G but you have no data. I got out of my contract early by complaining.

Nothing wrong with network in my area, and have had free (normally £7.99) Disney+ since it started. And free coffee and bacon roll every week… so good deal for me, and I re contract every 3 months!
    So heat from me.

Good price. Terrible NSA 5G network.

Going with 02 is the Network level equivalent of putting your phone on DND

O2 is the worst for reception

Good deal, just signed up for this as I was out of contract from a previous deal which was 20GB with O2 for £8 a month. I rarely got close to using all 20GB, so 30GB is possibly overkill, but it's nice to have some extra headroom. I switched to O2 from Three a year or so back and found (in my area at least) that O2 was an improvement in areas of coverage, but that the areas where Three did have good signal, Three tended to be faster. My main reason for sticking with O2 however is the fact EU roaming is free and included as default.

    Cheers! Ordered one

The 4G speed of O2 in my area is better than EE 5G (edited)

Quidco doesn't track for o2 sim deals. At least not in my experience

It’s going to track Money Supermarket

Would this be set up as a Direct Debit or do they just take your card for payment each month?

I pay £7 per month with Virgin. They transferred me to O2 and now I have 50GB data on a monthly rolling contract.

Is it better staying on a previous offer £10 a month for 60GB or droppinh down to this
  18. Harry0la's avatar
As an existing customer, I tried to upgrade my contract last week with the 60Gb offer, but it kept failing when I said I was an existing customer. However, this one has gone through no problem.

I have 2 O2 sims, which I pay monthly...just got declined for adding another £8month one! Any ideas how to "beat" the credit check? I have flawless credit and pay my bills!

Absolute jokers, was after this deal for weeks but o2 had locked me out of the account since 4th Aug until today. This was due to a fraud investigation instigated by me (I gave them a heads up on a random fraudulent call to me where no personal details were revealed). I had rang them countless times over the past few weeks explaining I wanted this deal but they wouldn't initiate until the fraud case was complete. All along the way they said this deal would be honoured. Come today, they are denying all knowledge and refuse me the deal. AVOID.

Still shows as available, can you switch online?

Sorry for commenting on multiple posts, but just tried to upgrade my current 12mo. contract (taken out in January 2023) and it won't let me for the first time ever. It's asking me to pay off my remainder until January, when I took out my last 12 month contract to get D+ 3mos. Anyone else faced this and know of a workaround?

EDIT: Got it to work. It's very cheeky of them, but you just have to click past the page where it says you have to pay it off, and they said "We've reduced your fee to £0.00" - how gracious!
