The included Ninja Woodfire Pellets are made of 100% premium hardwood and are used for flavour, not fuel – all you need is one scoop to take your BBQ to tasty new heights. Available in Robust Blend and All-Purpose Blend, the grill includes a sample bag of each flavour.

Easy to use and clean

The non-stick grill plate means there’s no need for wrestling with the wire brush once the food’s all been devoured, because there’ll be no burnt-on food to content with, and the removable grease tray makes things even easier when it’s time to clean up. I’ve owned several bbq’s over the years and for me it’s charcoal all the way. I bought one of these a few weeks ago and I am surprised with how good it is. The food cooks really well and it’s great to maintain temperature without effort.
I see it as a good addition to the bqq and pizza oven that I have already. Good for days when I don’t have the time/energy to get charcoal going.
I’m happy with my purchase. Recommend it.

Is it worth even £200? Does it do a good job when it comes to adding flavor to BBQ?

If you're looking to replicate a charcoal bbq without the fuss, this isn't it. At least that's how I've interpreted the many comments and reviews. What it can do well is smoke food, but apparently the UK version isn't capable of cold smoking whereas the USA one can, this has irked those who want that. It's an electric grill with a smoking function, as long as you go into it knowing that, I believe most consider this a good bit of kit. But you're not going to get the same flavor you'll get from cooking over hot coals.

I still cannot understand why anyone would buy one of these. As far as I'm aware it has to be used outside....in the British climate?!! Also it must be an absolute nightmare to keep clean!

Surprisingly easy to clean, and yes it's a spring/summer/autumn thing. Ours gets a great deal of use because it's so quick and easy.

I have it on good authority that these are going sub 200 soon.

It wouldn't surprise me given the awful Summer. Guess it all depends if the Summer finally arrives in September....or not.

Does anyone know the format of the Lakeland BLC code? Is it 16 numbers? Because I have one but it doesn't apply to the total.

That’s something I asked myself during my years of service eating in a military mess

I own one of these and its excellent. Yes, using the grill I still get that chargrilled smoke taste, Varies depending what pellets you use. No not full on BBQ taste but very close and better than my old gas BBQ. Since getting the Ninja I have not used my charcoal BBQ!

Cleaning is a lot easier than cleaning a BBQ. The grill plate is excellent non stick.

The various cooking modes all work very well. I have cooked a whole chicken smoked in just over an hour. Last weekend I cooked on the grill and smoking the food for 12 people with ease. The control over the cooking temperature makes cooking much easier than BBQ.

The downsides would not put me off but these are the ones I'm aware of:

The lid needs a good wipe down after every use. Unless you want it shiny clean its easy. If you want the inside of the lid shining then yes its harder work. I just give it a wipe down when finished.
Talking of the lid ,when you lift it up the grease drips down onto to the grill handles and the table. Its not a big problem but something to be aware of. I just put the grill on a silicone mat and wipe that down.
