check the servicing costs as a friend said it was way over normal to cover the warranty i guess

Cost me £800 for a 5 year service plan. Pretty fair in my opinion. (edited)

Is the one in the picture the one you get?
I don't mean literally but same spec

Unfortunately the photos in these types of deals almost always reflect the most aesthetically pleasing version of the line up, but not the actual build they're offering.

I've got an xceed with that engine. car's computer is overly optimistic in its mileage (regularly between 8 to 15% off). doing mpg calculation on fill-ups, 53mpg was the best ever mileage I got out of it, including plenty of motorway, the average overall is 42. I drive without a rush and I like to optimise for mileage. I also don't commute to work so I'm rarely stuck in traffic (although I do drive around town). I'm not complaining about my particular mileage, but 52 as the overall combined mpg seems wildly optimistic.

To be fair I do have the 18" wheels and those mpg values are likely when using the 16" ones, but I don't think it would make that much of a difference. (edited)

I also have a recently acquired xceed with this engine and find it quite noisy getting away from the lights with a distinct growl not really appropriate to a 1.5l car.
Also suffers from some indecisiveness at low revs on the 6 speed manual due, it seems, to the throttle body control being set to optimise mpg rather than sportiness!

No way to change into a "sport" setting?

The mate has had a nightmare with Kia warranty. Car is only 3 yrs old and emission light came on. Local dealer has the car in twice for 2 weeks at a time to diagnose. Sent info to Kia to OK repairs but still waiting. This has been going on since March....

Interesting as a mate has had his back 7/8 times in 18 months... I wouldn't stand for that many faults

GTS-Line in the photo is £27,995. The model for £20,000 is the one in Wagendeal's photo.

Actually I think the model in the photo is the GT Line and is available from the same supplier for £22,423 in metallic orange

Here's me with my £700 Skoda Fabia that my favourite MOT place fakes the emissions for lol.

    Good MOT place lol

Nice little car but top speed of 130mph is just a pointless statistic.
    satyris's avatar
not really, if it said top speed 230mph you'd know it was a different proposition entirely. If it said speed limited to 155mph, again that would tell you something. if it says top speed 130mph, you know it's going to be around 7-8000 rpm in 6th gear, so it's a basic indicator of its prestige level you could say lol.

How do these compare to Skodas and Ladas for reliability? Once upon a time, these cars were considered unreliable, but they are now top of the league...

Misses used to have a Mk1 Fabia from new back in 2000 and it was a great car, dealers were ok did have to forced them to open on boxing day to replace the already replaced power steering as it kept cutting out on islands and was proper dangerous but other than that they were fine though they always tried to sell you a new car everytime you went in and rang up. When we replaced it they priced themselves to high now for the same quality and we decided not have go with them again, the Kia was ideal for what we needed and it was better than the Leon/Focus/Astra of the time matched them on quality and beat them on price.

Colour seems very similar to those ugly Honda Jazz's you see being driven around...

I'm gonna pass on this one thanks..

Go to the site and this colour isn't available. The one at this price is solid yellow. £595 for other (metallic) colours.

I just ordered a Proceed with this same engine on a lease deal for 277/mo.

Not sure on the relevance, but following this for people's opinions on Kia in general, never had one before.
