Vee G-Sport Tyres and Internal Cable Routing
Large volume, comfortable tyres are the perfect all-round choice for cycle paths, country roads or wide forest trails. The addition of mudguard points, internal cable-routing and pannier mounts make the Mach-3 a great option for year-round riding and stress-free touring. The performance is underpinned by a classy lightweight aluminium frame that features a striking kinked top tube, designed to reduce the stepover height for when you might want to leave the activewear at home and ride out in regular clothes. Vitus has purposefully selected quality, reliable components, including the latest one-piece stem and handlebar with ergo-grips to keep weight down, so the bike is low maintenance and feels reassuringly sporty.

Journeys by bike are refreshing, invigorating, more enjoyable and fun, and with the Vitus Mach 3 VR Urban Bike (Claris) you can do more of them with ease.

Built, Tuned and Ready to Ride
When you order a bike, one of our trained mechanics will carefully prepare and pack your bike for shipping. Upon delivery, the assembly is simple and all necessary tools and plastic pedals are conveniently included in the box.

Bike novice here looking at either of these Mach 3 VR or VRS, mainly for use on road. I think I prefer the look of the VR which makes my decision harder as I think I’d want to pay the extra for the upgraded VRS. Are they both same weight around 10kg? as a small sizing and easy to get in/out of estate car?

Currently got a GT avalanche from 2010 so presume this weighs a lot more in comparison. Can’t find accurate weights on spec descriptions!

This is almost certainly lighter than your GT Avalanche even if it ends up being bit heavier than the claimed 10kg

I have a old Giant xcross 1000 bike which needs repair and is going to cost me around £150 or so (incl service).

Should I instead look to buy a bike like this or stick with the Giant one I have and repair it? (edited)

If you've got no emotional attachment to the old bike, I would have bought this deal over repairing your old Giant.

rrp £650 (skeptical), with the half price sale they are at the price they are worth without a sale imho

You will not find a better bike for the money.

I bought this bike 🚲 a month ago it was deliver with a nice big deep scratch on the frame probably down to logistics. I was umming and arrange whether to buy or not and someone very kindly said do it bikes have changed alot since I was a teenager and he was not wrong! This bike is awesome guys honestly for the price it's crazy cheap but the Sora version in hindsight I should have bought 1 for the colour and 2 for the hydraulic brakes. These brakes are good but hydraulics as I've since found out will send you over the handle bars if not careful that's how powerful they are! I'm about 178cm tall and I bought the medium the frame goes right into my crotch so I'm glad I last minute switched from size L to M as L would have been too big for me. I hardly ever post on forums but I had to comment here as I paid the full asking price plus the £20 postage so at this price wow it's a steal buy it you won't regret it the thing flies!

For the money, this looks like an excellent bike. I thought the days of getting something half decent for less than £300 were over. My Carerra Gryphon (similar spec) was about £250 10-years ago. I probably ride the thing more than I do my more expensive bikes.

I seriously doubt that 10kg weight (yes I know manufacturers give small frame weights). If true then jump in.

Can someone compare this bike with the one below and tell me what the pros and cons are? Is it worth the extra money and if so, why?

    hotukdeals.com/dea…572

Sorry I know this may be obvious for some, I just don't know much about bikes and why one might be better in certain terrain etc?

The Mach 3 is better specced. Claris is a better system that Tourney, the disc brakes on this are better than the Mach 1, this one has internally routed cables etc. If I were choosing from the two, I'd say this is worth the extra £90.

Unreal bargain this, some bike for the money that I doubt you'd find better for the money or close to it's quality (edited)

Am 5ft 10 would a medium bike be any good or would I need a large ? Anyone help me with please
    maddoglewis's avatar
Both would be OK so choose whichever you prefer. I'm the same height and have one of each. My marginal preference is for the L but both are fine. (edited)
