To do so you need another computer (or laptop) and a USB stick, minimum 8GB (if I recall correctly).

You download the Windows media installation tool - if you want to install Windows of course - and it'll give you a selection of what device to install it on. You'd chose the USB stick.

Once that's downloaded, plug the USB into the laptop and you'll be shown a setup on how to install Windows.

Here is a video on how to do it step by step,

Even though the guy talks about a gaming PC, it ultimately doesn't matter. It's the same premise.

If I read the Lenovo site correctly I think that it has Windows 11 installed.

    Nice keyboard?

    Stack with student discount?

Moving on from an inconsistent 5 years with a surface pro 5. Not doing any demanding work.

No stupid fans going full whack when you turn the laptop on, or electric shocks if ur charging the laptop and using it at the same time?

Edit: Could do +10 for camera, battery and even the carry case? so £576.

Sell the 256 (or 512) ssd and put in a 1Tb SSD? but its 2242 form factor which is a bit awkward. We have seen some great deals for 2230, 2Tb as little as £120.

Could stick with soldered (8 GB DDR4-3200MHz) and then could buy a 32Gb stick of RAM, but idk how compatibility would work out. And doesnt seem too common either as a deal here for single stick 3200MHz (edited)

Add heat! I am interested in this new model, especially the six core i3. Finally Lenovo got their act and provided a full aluminium casing that can last our user's abuse. I ordered one, using our Lenovo Pro account. My chosen configuration: i3/win11 pro/16gb ram, 256ssd/fingerprint reader, backlit keyboard and the bigger 57w battery. All together £540, minus £79 worth of Lenovo reward points comes at £461 including vat and shipping. If this is a good kit for work I might get few more as our users prefer larger screens and full numeric keypad. (edited)
