I would bite it it was with laundry mode.

Laundry mode on most, Just means it turns off automatically after 6 hrs and if your washing isn’t dry, tough. we just put ours on at 30 humidity on low speed and it’s done over night. I have laundry mode on mine but don’t use it for that reason. Definitely worth having.l a dehumidifier. (edited)

Great find, how long did it take for the B&Q Club membership voucher to come through on the email? I'm still waiting on mine.

Usually a day or so, unfortunately.

I bought this when it was £99 in May and it's pretty good, yes

Very good dehumidifier. I bought this when it was £99 and think it was well worth it. Only gripe is that the water tank fills quickly but no biggie.

Just bought it for £79.15, I signed up to club membership which came through within minutes. Easier to apply code using app as couldn’t find option on website.

Could anyone please confirm whether this can be controlled via a smart plug or timer, or relies on a button press to power on?
    crball79's avatar
Button press to power on. Has a timer on of 2,4,6 hours, could use a smart plug/timer if wanted it to run longer

How big and heavy is this?

Would you be able to carry this on the bus?
    crball79's avatar
    I'd say so

Bought one from Stevenage B&Q. My experience that even though it says up to 40m2, my flat's humidity these days is around 60-75% on average, and this little machine is not bringing it below 60% for the whole apartment, which is 42m2. If I use it only in our bedroom which is about 12m2, behind closed doors it can bring it down to below 50% at night, but as soon as I open the door it goes back up to above 60%. It collected about 1.5l water within 8-9hours at night. So don't believe the marketing, even though it still works decently. I would rather buy multiple units and place them in different places of the house if needed then trying to succeed with a unit that performs better, on paper at least.

Bought mine in May for £99. Hardly used it until this past Week when it's got colder and a lot more condensation.
It's just made a massive bang and stopped working. Tried changing fuse to no avail.
No longer in stock in B&Q so looks like I need to find a replacement. Hopefully everyone else's lasts longer than mine! Haven't had it on too many hours per day either.

Sounds like bad luck. Would still say its worth calling B&Q or taking it down there if that’s practical, the onus is on them to put things right and they might even offer to replace it with a higher-spec model if none of these are in stock.
