Product description
Classed by Continental has it’s strongest Grand Prix 5000 model yet, this road bike tyre creates trust in all weather conditions, while also boosting your protection. With its high-quality Black Chili compound, this model provides the best combination of grip and rolling resistance to get you through every mile. It also benefits from tubeless ready technology, so you can enjoy lower rolling resistance, increased comfort and fewer chances of flats or punctures wherever your ride takes you. Coming complete with a range of ide-enhancing technologies, this is an ideal choice of upgrade for modern road cycling and racing.

Black Chili Compound
With Continental’s unique tread compound, which is produced only in Germany, we have revolutionised the sport of cycling. With the legendary Black Chili compound the brand has answered the eternal question of the best balance of grip and rolling resistance for cycling. The latest polymers as well as specially developed carbon black particles and filler materials guarantee unique performance, be it on a road, gravel or a mountain bike, for time trialling or downhill.

Vectran Breaker
Vectran is spun from liquid crystal-polymer. This way a thermoplastic, multiple-thread yarn is created. As a comparison: This partially crystalline fabric is more cut-resistant than aramide and its tensile strength is five times higher than that of steel. A Vectran breaker is lighter, more flexible and effective against cuts than a comparable nylon breaker. Without affecting rolling resistance.

Active Comfort Technology
The revolutionary approach in cycling. Embedded in the tyre construction the Active Comfort Technology absorbs vibrations and smoothens your ride.

Lazer Grip
Lazer Grip, to make you one with the road. The lazered micro profile structure expands over the tyre’s shoulder and provides outstanding cornering.

Conti Knowledge

For initial mounting, Continental recommends using at least 30 ml of Conti RevoSealant per tyre. Then spin the tyre (wheel) to spread the Conti RevoSealant inside of the tyre and pump to the allowed maximum pressure. Check the pressure before the next ride and adjust to your desired PSI. Hookless compatible, please check table for compatible rims width and max. pressure on the packaging.

Good deal for a frankly overpriced item in the overpriced world of road cycling. I still wouldn’t buy it as the 3 I’ve had previously all shredded down to the sub-material unusually quickly

Just replaced the original GP5000 TL tyres on my bike after 5000 miles and no punctures. Havent tried these All Seasons version yet, but would expect them to be more robust.

I'm new to road bikes. In fact I would have to borrow one but I can do that no probs. Question is what is the difference between a 25 or 32

7mm - you can run them with lower pressure = more comfort
Also I would not even look on anything below 28/32mm now - roads are in horrible state

Got these to convert my older bike to tubeless (winter hack) after getting a defy with SLR1 carbon wheels (30mm continental gp5000 tr fitted) and I was blown away how good they are.

however these were such a pita to fit to mavic slr rim and then tried some mavic ksyrium elites from 2016 due to wider internal width. Wow difficult but doable. I used muc off tubeless table and valve. I cannot get the bead to pop for the life of me. I am using a compressor and tubeless tyre lube. With sealant it holds fine - I can see it appears to be seated ok but worried it’s not safe (they won’t separate from the rim
The tyre will return to centre of the rim when flat.

I originally got the cream but returned for black as that has the reflex for night riding. (edited)
