2 bulbs for 50 quid? Am I missing something here?

The prices do sting a bit, but colour GU10 smart bulbs are pretty hard to get right apparently. Something to do with the size and space available, and the form factor of these is pretty much spot on. I’ve gone through a few different brands now and the Hue ones (this current generation) are markedly better with their colours. They’re a rip off at full price (£60 a bulb!) but I think this is a pretty decent price if you need your GU10s to match the quality and colours of other hue bulbs. If you’re starting from scratch though, don’t open Pandora’s box!

What’s another alternative that would work with something like SmartThings or AppleKit.

I bought some outdoor wall lights from Wilco today (dirt cheap with them closing down). Unfortunately they don’t have a dusk sensor so I think the best thing would be to get some GU10 smart bulbs and just have a setting so they come on at sunset.
Rather buy something that doesn’t need its own propriety app but can work with one of my existing apps.

Hive GU10s work with SmartThings. Also Ikea.

Unless it is made of gold I would walk away and find an alternative!

Extremely expensive! Noone cares about RRP which is inflated on purpose anyway in order to enable discounts later on...
