Savage depreciation, but a 70kwh one second hand. Quite a good car, decent range. Handling a bit crap but large car. Chinese tyres terrible but a little better since they bedded in.

EV market is volatile currently. So if you don't like money they buy a new EV. However there are now fairly substantial discounts on new EVs because of market volatility and media scaremongering. EVMan released this video today with plenty of examples of new car discounts across a wide range of EV vehicles.

Is 7year warranty advertisement actually a malpractice - Misselling? If you look at warranty content, all key things are only under 3year warranty and then only less breaking things like body rust or smth is 7years.

Most manufacturers won't warranty a wear component, pretty normal to offer the extended warranty only for non wear components of a car and certainly MG aren't the ones that started that practice. It's up to you to read and understand the warranty and the value of it or not.

MG will shortly be selling a new version "Extended Range" of the 4 with 77 kWh and WLTP 323 miles. I think it's the reason that there are some good deals on the older 4 and some of the other MG EV cars.

I'm not sure that by adding 4 kWh (which in real terms is around 16 miles at best), is a huge difference.
If I could get this one a couple of grand cheaper, I'd definitely do that.

I have this car! It is the cheap end of the ev market, but it doesn't feel like it! I love it, great fun to drive! quality doesn't feel different to most modern cars and the specs at trophy level is good. Biggest issues are reversing camera quality and infotainment can be a little slow. But saying that I have a vauxhall as a hire car at the moment and that is equally as bad if not worse in both those departments! If you want a cheap EV, I would jump at it

Seems a shame to spend so much on a new one when there's lots of low mileage 2nd hand ones

Carwow just released a video on the new MG4 Xpower edition today. It has truly mental performance for £36K nothing else new has 435bhp and 0-60 in 3.77seconds. China are slaying the EV market. Do you need it over this car? Nope not at all, but if you like silly, very silly straight line performance then it is a no brainer.

    Tesla model 3 performance 0-60 3.1 seconds
long range Tesla model 3 with acceleration boost 3.6 seconds
I know they are more expensive though

It might not be the best EV on the market but the price for what you're getting is amazing 🔥

Similar to all the other roof rack SUVs out there, what's your point? (edited)

You can kick off if you like, just adding some more info of other cars with faster 0-60’s 🏻

Slowly, the prices will go down! China's flooding the market with very cheap EVs! Can't even pronounce the names lol! Unless money's no problem, go for it! But I would wait a few years before buying an EV! Also, the infrastructure is still bad

I’ve seen some amazing EVs in China. Not sure about if they are cheap. I’ve mainly just seen Tesla alternatives like Xpeng.
