Great total cost, and very good amount of O2 data, taking into account the recent sim free price at Apple direct £699, this works out at £3.16pm for the data

Trade in is available on the 14, example £350 for an iPhone 13, hassle free way of trading in i guess, but would check the likes of music magpie first

This deal comes with Get 3 months' free Apple TV+, Apple News+, Apple Fitness+ and Apple Arcade

    Overall, a pretty good deal.

However o2 are absolutely atrocious in Glasgow, you’d struggle to use 500mb of data never mind 100GB.

    Totally agree, it’s pathetic

Having gone from Vodafone to O2 I'd struggle to use 1gb of data with their network

Me, my missus and son are all on O2, and it is brilliant.

Hopefully a Vodafone iPhone 14 deal will come up soon, got a cheap 02 for the volt extras but in Bristol I find the speeds very slow

iPhone 15 itself cost 799, and you can get cheap sim separately.

    Bad deal imo.

You’re probably looking at £10-12 a month for a sim only with 100gb of data, so that’s £288 in total plus £799 so no where near the cost of this deal.

Good deal , but I’m hoping for a good deal on the 14 Pro on Black Friday!

    Like how good?

I don’t know about the rest of the country. But O2 in greater Manchester is dreadful. It might be a cheap deal but network speeds will drive you insane. Plus loads of black spots. Listening to music or YouTube whilst driving becomes too irritating to even bother with. I’m using iPhone 14 Pro. They’re really really bad, avoid. I’m going to try get out of my contract so i can go back to EE

I had the same issues with O2 about 3-4 years ago and managed to leave mid contract without charges, clearly they haven’t improved.

wife's just got an iPhone 14 pro 256gb gold, 150gb data 2 year plan with apple music & free EU roaming 0 up front for £36 a month through retentions, was this a good deal?
    burntninjaali's avatar
    Is that still available?

Nice one Switchy, this would be perfect for my daughter for her Christmas but I don't want to buy just now. Are similar deals likely to be around at christmas time? (I'm a pixel user - no idea the going rate for iPhones) (edited)

Tbh, I have no idea, you'd hope so

If you live in London, O2 is really good. Don’t even bother with Three. And free roaming in Europe is indeed a very good deal.
    fastclau's avatar
Yeah.... you're quite right! Had all of them! Three, vodafone, ee and o2! None are exactly 100% excellent, but o2 seems ro lead when it comes to internet speed/coverage and 5g call quality!

For the moment, I would wait for the 15 to be released before getting a 14, as I would of thought it would go down even more

Do you think we can give o2 the link, and they can upgrade existing customers to this deal, or new customers.

Also, due to a price increase in April, how much would this go up by? (edited)
    SimonDuncan's avatar
Worth a try, Shy bairns get nowt
  12. wingedvictory's avatar
Great deal! In the market for a good new iPhone deal, but would prefer to pay a bit more upfront for a lower monthly cost to mitigate the April inflation rises now that they’re fairly significant. Can’t see any good comparable deals unfortunately. (edited)

Interest free via Apple & buy sim only. That's what my wife has done & I shall be doing from January,
after the totally disgusting EE rises the past 2 years. 25% over the 2 increases - on the entire contract; because the phone retrospectively cost more to supply not.
  13. Paul1802's avatar
    Good deal that.
Will most likely be upgrading my daughters 02 contract at Christmas. May not bite at this as I'm hoping (like many others) that equivalent or better offers may become available when the 15 range is in full swing Nov/Dec.

On that subject, she currently has a mint condition 12 that she's happy enough with, could any of you Apple guys let me know if the 14 is a worthwhile upgrade. Maybe just go SIM only if not. Thanks.

50980764-evxef.jpgVia Uswitch for an extra £10 upfront & £1 per month you can get an extra 60gb also with O2/Mobile Phones Direct.

Does anyone know if a O2 sim with a third party seller can take advantage of the Virgin Volt upgrade? (edited)
    Bert2612's avatar
Yes they do. I got mine from mobilephonesdirect and O2 applied Volt successfully
  15. SimonDuncan's avatar
Good deal but I think I’ll wait for Black Friday/Cyber Weekend, as you should find the best deals of the calendar year

    Heat added though 🔥

Have I missed this? Best deal I can see is £35p/m +£39
    wingedvictory's avatar
It's still there just clicking the Deal link. Doesn't show up on the main mobilephonesdirect list for some reason.
