Video Doorbell that calls phone

Anyone know of a video doorbell that gives you like a call alert when thr doorbell is pressed?

I got the new TPLink Tapo Doorbell that advertised this in thr options but can't get it to work and apparently now it seems it only works when the phone is unlocked... so unless you walk around all day with your phone in hand unlocked it's no good...

Oh and a only with local storage as well :-)

Thanks

I have the Google Doorbell and it sends a notification to my phone (even if locked) if someone presses the doorbell or walks past it. In both instances I can speak to the person using my phone. Maybe this is what you're searching for?

Thanks, this is what I'm looking for. Like your getting an actual call, not just a notification.

The TPLink does notifications but it's also supposed to send like a call style ring to your phone like below

    Thanks

This does exactly what you need.

    amazon.co.uk/euf…8-5

It does have local storage but you can also put in a 128gb Micro SD card for more if you need it.

I had a chance to test it properly a couple of weeks ago when I was out and the postman pressed the bell. Got an alert on my phone so I tapped it and it opened up the app with a live video feed of the postman standing there.

I pressed the little phone symbol to answer him and while i could *just* about hear him, he apparently heard me clearly enough to leave the package by my front door and that was that.

I think you can get them in CEX for around half the price as well.

Thanks saw them but also saw they suffer from condensation like my blink one did :-(

Almost any doorbell using the Vicohome / Longplus app will "ring" your locked smart device for around 10 seconds - I'd expect this to be standard for any credible smart doorbell.
Typically low-£30s upwards for bundle of Howiray hi-res 2k model plus angling bracket and internal chime, and includes ongoing rolling free cloud storage plus option to use onboard microSD storage.

Random bay example currently sub-£38 ex-UK; item 126151790961

TBH I'd be inclined to troubleshoot the respected Tapo prior to throwing more cash at another device that may also have same issue if the cause is somehow related to smartphone global (unintentional) setting.

If the doorbell you have is Alexa compatible, then you can use an Alexa routine to play a ring tone or music file.
