Is there a graphic somewhere which explains the difference between this 3500 and any numbers up? 3600?? 3700?? Is this top of the range that use standard heads? And are io3 worth the price?
    JPS's avatar
The pro 3000 is the standard brush on it's own, 3500 comes with a travel case and the 3900 is a set of 2 of them. All of them are exactly the same toothbrush. (edited)

Hear me out; these things are ripoffs and environmental disasters and people should stop buying them.

They are the epitome of planned obsolescence. When the battery inevitably stops holding charge after just a few years (or less), you have to toss the whole thing and buy a brand new one. They're almost impossible to recycle so most of them go straight to landfill, including their poisonous batteries.

There is absolutely no reason it has to be this way. If you open up these toothbrushes you'll find a perfectly ordinary battery inside. If Braun cared even remotely about customers (or the planet) they'd make the battery pop or slide out and be replaceable in three seconds flat.

But they don't... because people are misled into thinking that buying a new one for "only" £26 every few years is a HOT deal.
    erroll's avatar
Whilst I don’t disagree, the same principle and practice applies across most tech with non-replaceable batteries (or rather not easily replaced by the consumer).

Excellent price. Picked it up for £30 on BF after previous one had broken. The only downside I find with this model is the lack of rubber grip. It's very slippery to hold
    OFAH's avatar
Maybe a blessing in disguise. I have an oral b one - can't remember what model but was near enough a top of the line model bought on offer - and after a few years the battery has deteriorated but still OK just needs charged more often...anyway the rubber parts have sort of went a horrible sticky, tacky sort of feeling now. No chance of that if just plastic!
  4. haggisheid's avatar
Great price, how does the teeth whitening work?
    mrjonathanknight's avatar
    It doesn't
  5. Superhotseller's avatar
Are all orbal B heads compatible? Got the a regular orbal B kit with lots of heads so would they fit this model?
    Dyslexic_Dog's avatar
Yes, all oral B are the same it's just the io series ones that are different.
  6. BarneyRubble's avatar
Ugh I got one from tesco for £25 but its pink (edited)
    weeZl's avatar
You sure it was a toothbrush?
  7. roadie's avatar
Got it for £6.28 as Amazon gave me a £20 voucher for an order they didn't honour.
Any good deals for heads. Its going to be my first time buying an electric brush.
    KyleKeighley's avatar
Wow that's incredible I struggle getting a 5er out of them, you a car salesman?

    Half price at Morris (edited)

it say "Country of origin: ‎Germany" so most likely will come with 2 prong eu plug like it's mentioned in the reviews.
    b1g1an's avatar
Lol, love it when people make daft comments about it having an EU plug or just simply the wrong plug. It comes with the correct plug for the UK which is one to fit the shaver socket in bathrooms which just happens to be a two prong.

Nothing sold in the UK that is meant for use within the bathroom will come with a UK three pin plug.

What's the difference between this and io3
    One
    Walkerscrisp's avatar
    About 40 quid
  10. little_green's avatar
paid £45 for this in tesco clubcard price who claim without the clubcard it would of cost £100 .... i've been mugged!
    Besford's avatar
Oral B RRPs are ridiculous - it's pretty much a scam!
  11. JD_'s avatar
What's the life expectancy on these? My Phillips in 2017, lasted 2 years.
    NoNamesLeftWhy's avatar
I would say a year before the battery needs charging every week instead of 2, then another year or so before needing to buy another. Probably about the same as your phillips
  12. salispropnews's avatar
WARNING - had to return two in the last month as the battery leaks grey into the head and its all grey when you spit out. There is clearly a battery issue with this series.
    perplexedme's avatar
if there’s a leakage, would it not leak downwards, and not upwards towards the brushhead?
  13. karanbajaj90's avatar
Got this in £26 few months ago with 4 additional heads :-)
    Very good toothbrush.
  14. ste666's avatar
Had a read through the comments and can't see much information regarding battery life.

What is the realistic, if used twice a day, time between charging?

    Thank you
    sheffield788's avatar
I can't tell you exactly, but my old model was about 10 days, I think. My cheap, Chinese toothbrush lasts well over a month.
  15. jo04112's avatar
This any good for an 11 year old? X
    maccalen's avatar
    Yep, fine.
  16. dap54's avatar
Any decent replacement toothbrush heads deals guys?
    sheffield788's avatar
Superdrug has some at £8 for 4 I think.
  17. D963's avatar

  18. Sophia1993's avatar
In all seriousness this without discount really is £100?????
    sheffield788's avatar
This comes often on sale at £35. I was in Tesco last week. The price was £35 for Tesco club card, and £100 for the rest. Not that anyone ever spent £100 on this.
  19. P0PEYE's avatar
Need to replace my son's which fell out the window earlier this year, what a price!

Hmm I'm confused. I bought this during BF for 35 and now it's lower......guess what ive done, return and buy. Thanks OP
    RogPJ's avatar
Amazon would have automatically refunded you the difference
  23. Chris_R23's avatar
Lol reading reviews is funny..ohh 1 star it's not the right plug .it's a shaver plug people to put into a convertor plug or into the wall directly in your bathroom
    AllOverTheShop's avatar
Comedy gold that they give fewer stars because of the wrong plug! Not wrong plug, wrong brain power! There's always a Homer "To start press any key. Where's the Any key?"
  24. Thriftyswifty's avatar
Any good for younger kids (7yr old)
    shakeshake's avatar
Yeah, I’d like to know this?

I just read the reviews on Amazon. Some said the toothbrush arrived with human teeth in the box, many of the items were dusty and scratched, box completely destroyed.
    enclavemarine's avatar
Nice, im looking forward to my new human teeth.
  28. DLatimer's avatar
Brilliant price. I already have one and got it on offer - wish it had been this cheap
  29. kenny07's avatar
Excellent thanks, I was going to pay 35£ tomorrow.

I'm getting sick of these teeth always needing brushing. I'm thinking of buying a blender and getting them removed. Chewing is another thing I'm getting tired of. (edited)
    jimboo54's avatar
Don't use a blender, that's going to hurt. Just go to the dentist, ask them to do it.
  31. abulkasam's avatar
£16.28 after £10 off for complaining £5 wishlist offer didn't apply. They sent me £5 off on 9th December with terms saying offer expired on 3rd. No sense. (edited)

Were you eligible for the wishlist offer?

    That made me laugh
  33. tony2018__'s avatar

When it gets this hot, you just have to join in and buy it
    Newbold's avatar
I find the best option by far is to lob it out of the bathroom window.
  39. Parappathepappa's avatar
Alternatively, this half-price deal is just £385. My teeth just fell out in shock, so I don't need it - but it may help any fools out there who need parting from their money:
