HP Instant Ink Price Rise

We've subscribe to HP Instance Ink for the last year at 50 pages a Month, and only changed the Ink once. As the price is going up by £1 (are large percentage though) "Beginning 01 February 2024, the monthly fee for your 50 page plan will be £3.99 (an increase of £1.00)."

Is there a way to change from the Subscription to just buying the Ink? ( I presume not, but worth asking here).
Thanks

I’m sure you can cancel instant ink subscription. Then you just buy cartridges as you would for any normal printer (if that’s what you’re asking)

Someone else said this a couple of days ago om another thread. So it is not just you. Is there a way of contacting HP?

How much does one set of ink cartridges cost?

I am on a free instant ink plan for 10 months & then I have to pay. It kind of makes me think about selling the printer at that stage & buying another with another year free. (edited)

I have a feeling the whole point of the subscription is to tie you in and then when you stop paying they turn it off. As the printer dies talk back to hp.
I'm hoping someone had find a technical way or a legal way out of it

How did you get on the free plan? I see
    10 pages for £0.99
    50 pages for £2.99

I will cancel and just buy cartridges from now on. Can't justify the price as we don't use printer so much as we used to. I guess the remanufactured cartridges don't work either? Going to have to buy genuine cartridges

The problem you'll find is that the cartridges don't last even if you don't print much, as they tend to dry out. With my previous Canon printer I found I needed to replace the cartridges every year despite hardly using them.

When I purchased my current HP printer I was lucky to get onto the (no longer available) free plan, which allows up to 15 pages a month and is perfect for my usage.
