Great tasting New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, rated by Vivino as in the top 7% wines in the world, and the top 11% Marlborough area wines.

It was an Aldi wine of the week before Christmas, but now back in store. And an absolute steal at £3.49 against the recommended price of £9.99. Most importantly I love the taste.

<gets map out to work out how far it is from Cornwall to Brighton>
<gets calculator to work out how much this will cost in fuel>
<decides that it needs to be at least 100 bottles to break even>

I've tried it I thought it's better with a meal. It's a bit dry if you like that sort of wine. It's good for the price

Good for the price? You can't buy cough mixture for this price.

Absolutely vile, poured it down the sink. Don't waste your money

I got this before Xmas - It tastes great and I am not a fan of Sauvignon Blanc

Most Marlborough region Sauv Blanc is very very palatable. Like being smashed in the face with a bag of Gooseberries
    Yum

I got some today in Aldi. Bought on a whim as I’ve not tried it, but as I like Sauvignon Blanc thought it was a no brainer. What a fabulous reduction. (edited)

    Is this nationwide?

my original post said that the signage showed that it was clearly a national campaign - but the moderator took that bit out for some reason. It will be in many but not all Aldis.

Been checking in my local for weeks now - empty space and lonely looking shelf label.

It gets 4.3 on Vivino (which is a very good rating). I don't drink white, just red wine, but I might actually give this a go if I see it.
Haven't seen any red 'wines of the week' since xmas/new year? There is a red on offer but it's £7 something. (edited)

Which Aldi in Brighton was this?

Unfortunately its not been priced correctly by the buyer, I can only assume they didn't taste it. its a bit too acidic not really a good example of a NZ Sav Blanc unfortunately should be £3.50 full price. never a £10 wine. don't get me wrong I got 2 cases before Xmas, but its really not all that nice on the palate when you know what you should be expecting. Aldi know what they are doing and got sold this cheep by people who knew it wasn't right....... (edited)

Loving all the wannabe sommelier's on here commenting on a £3.50 bottle of white!

I'm sure there are wannabe food critics on the burger king threads complaining and saying their stuff doesn't compare to the steaks their used to...

Aldi and Lidl wines are all usually of fantastic quality.  I’ll be opening a bottle this evening.

Reduced to clear in Broxburn but £4.69 or similar due to minimum pricing rules. Empty shelf but time I checked so cannot comment on taste

    It’s certainly quaffable!

Got 14 bottles in Aldi in fleet. I like SB but it’s a bit fruitier than I’d like as most I’ve had before are drier but for £3.49 it’s not to be sniffed at . (edited)
