ASK before ordering if they are taking part.
SAY you are ordering a £4.99 sub.
DONT PAY full price if they are on the list and won't accept your QR code. Walk away. Most times they will suddenly give you the deal. (Only do this if you legitimately have the deal in your app and they are on list of stores taking part)

I have made an interactive google map of all participating locations, to save you trying each of your local stores manually!

    google.com/map…ing

Please let me know if any stores refuse to acknowledge the offer, or accept it!
    Green = Accepting
    Red = Refusing

I now seem to be the guy that does this on hukd, any discounts in future that are participating locations only, feel free to tag me! (edited)

Subway, The Exchange Mall Unit 48, London IG1 1RS

Both rejected till not working and the other said it’s a USA offer only

'Participating stores' keep telling me the till is broken when I show them the code. Some franchises have no intention of honouring this offer.

On it, if there's not an map already, I'll make one

Edit, I made one! see my main comment and mark as helpful so more people see it!

Ordered the sandwich instore and scanned the app they tried charging regular price £8 something for the footlong at the till but corrected the offer to £4.99 once mentioned to them. Make sure the price is correct for the offer before tapping away with contactless cards guys as I’m sure some people will get caught out by this
    Karamazov's avatar
I don’t understand why people don’t check first that the offer is valid, it’s the first thing I do with any offer/discount anywhere lol
  4. adil171's avatar
Just a pity that most ‘participating’ stores don’t even acknowledge this offer and when shown, they make an excuse that the till doesn’t recognise the deal or it’s not working
    Andrew_Smart's avatar
As that seems to happen a lot, inform me and I can update my map to highlight stores with issues

It’s back for another round gang…. Dunno if it’s worth bothering making a new deal, I wonder if any mods could boost this thread?

Where is the QR code on the app?
    manlikemish's avatar
It's your subcard QR there isn't a separate QR code for this offer

I had a very bizarre experience today with this.

The local subway had a big banner in the window advertising this. I figure "oh I'll download the app then". I get the app, go inside, ask how to claim the offer. The worker says they're not participating. Even though the banner was in their window.

    So yeah, fun times.
  15. manojlds's avatar
Magically the scanner will breakdown during the offer period.

The £1.99 sub of the day deal is what I miss!
  17. stephenjones11's avatar
Just used at the Ringwood branch. First I was told I couldn’t use the offer on a “dear” one. I explained it included any signature sub. Then said it’s only participating stores to which I replied you are and I’ve checked the terms. I was then asked if I’d have bought it if it wasn’t on offer to which I said no. She then replied “That’s what winds me up, subway shouldn’t do this offer.” I’ve no idea why they are bothered. It’s a euro garages franchise, not exactly hard up! (edited)
    charliejade's avatar
They can choose not to participate too, crazy!
  18. frozen's avatar
Subway never honour their deals. The franchise will squirm out of it and you won't be able to redeem. They should do somthing about it
    batemansxxxb's avatar
One of the outlets in Gateshead Metrocentre always honours the deal, but I’ve had problems with Newcastle Gosforth before even though they were on the participating outlets list, but my complaint fell on deaf ears, the franchise holder couldn’t care less
  19. rhi76's avatar
Refused in Telford new trench road

Subway are advertising this deal on the radio so you would think that all stores should be aware of the deal and honouring it without questioning and declining their customers
    Jo444's avatar
They are listening to different radios usually

Not showing in my app even though my local store is participating?

    Same here. Frustrating

Sheffield West Street are accepting. I can recommend the big bombay, although I expected the mango habanero to be hotter, couldn't really taste any spice

How do you find list of participants stores, the above link doesn't show the above promo.
    SonyaWalters's avatar
I found that the link to participating stores only shows old promotions ☹️
  26. pingusdead's avatar
Just to say that I've never had an offer declined by a participating store...maybe just lucky?
    Bertage's avatar
Same. Reading these threads always makes me anxious for redeeming any Subway offers, but I’ve never had one declined.

I’ve only tried them at 7-10 separate stores around the South West/Wales so maybe it’s certain areas more likely to decline. The only time the till hasn’t ever recognised my offer was on the week of a new offer (buy 1 get 1 free later on for the new sub menu), and the staff member let me have my sub for free anyway 🤷🏻‍♂️ Only good experiences here with Subway deals

Don't appear to be able to order on the app at this price? Ife tried setting multiple participanting stores. Is it actually live yet?
  32. avinine86's avatar
Installing the iOS app works fine but registration process is a mess. The app generates an email activation code but the code doesn’t work. What a joke. (edited)

Used today, the big cheese steak melt is great. Will definitely be using this offer again before the deal expires.

Agree I had this also, plus free cookies on the counter .............
  34. slipd's avatar
Big sign up in the window of my local. Ordered and mentioned the deal, said no problem but the sub maker had to tell the cashier to put it through as the offer. My QR code scanned, no issue.

Heated OP! Will definitely be using this again before the deal is up.
  35. tuftyhill's avatar
I assume this offer is for use in store only. I've tried placing an order on the app for collection at a participating store but it still shows full price

what if you ask for a 30.48cm sub instead?
  38. coolboy101's avatar
Doesn't work on self checkout machines even if you scan your rewards card. Asked the worker and said they have to do it on their till instead, but they honoured it so I'm happy
    angleseyman's avatar
Subway has self checkout ? How does that work with them making it ? Genuine question (i live in wales so its 50 years behind
  39. oceanic's avatar
so you can't pay online through the app and then collect instore?

asking for the offer instore is annoying. (edited)
    ChelseaRae's avatar
Don’t mention before ordering. If they refuse to honour the deal at till, be willing to abort mission and leave.
