Not a bad price in all fairness - I can give first hand experience as we have just got rid of our sons he’s had for approx 2 years. The desk itself is a good size and as commented above, accepts a full size ATX tower (it was a must with his gaming rig I built). It is pretty sturdy too par the back which I ended up battening the wall and screwing through beneath the top lip where you cannot see.

The negatives lie in that being black, it is a dust magnet. It’s scratches quite easily. The red accents are of terrible quality and begin to crack and peel in no time at all.

That said, for a younger person on a budget, this does actually give ample workspace, leg room, storage for items on the right hand side shelving and a good sized full ATX tower on the left. With the cost of everything always on the increase, I would actually say the price point especially with add-on discounts is actually more than reasonable

Looks like a converted fire place ?

That edge on the radiator is going to peel and split fast

You will subconsciously be hearing that curtain screaming at you "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME"

    Urgh that looks gash

Gets points for actually having a large space for the PC. So many 'Gaming' desks have tiny shelves that are nowhere near big enough for a full sized ATX case.

Gonna be honest, me neither, don't think I've ever commented on a deal I'm not interested in just comment negatively on the looks, but clearly not everyone is like you an I

In fairness, for a younger one, it's pretty decent value and has pretty good dimensions

I swear I had a MFI desk just like this in the 80s! Knight Rider vibes

The worst type of desk.. god forbid you want to move your legs

I painted my whole bedroom like this when I was younger and my mum absolutely cracked up. It was 1991 I think so the style is slightly dated. I was probably Knight Rider and Airwolf crazy at the time.

But not Blue Thunder because all it had was whisper mode and was rubbish.

I can hear it creaking from here.....

Shame about the daft red accents cause its actually got some sensibly sized elements to it (edited)

What makes it a gaming desk as opposed to just a desk?

Much better value for money out there, both nicer looking and more sturdy.

    The price…

I think I'd rather a bar stool and a upended cardboard box.

"Made from wood effect" - So not even something you can actually call wood then

Whilst the colour and shape aren't for everyone, I appreciate the depth and width of the workspace. So many home desks just aren't big enough. If I got this I'd have to get rid of the top part which goes around the monitor, what's the point of it? But heat from me because I'd find it useful for the price. (edited)

I had something very similar in the late 90s but mine had 3 drawers on the left hand side...Painted my room black with red boarders...Thought it was so cool lol ..Young and dumb.

Just a warning that black furniture is a dust magnet... can look 'dirty' compared to white or light colours... heat for those who want one though!
    MrSprkle's avatar
Then dust! I hear this all the time, just as much dust falls on everything, you have to dust your furniture regardless of colour, your skin still dies and falls off regardless of your furnitures colour.
