Is the snapdragon still a way to go or is it worth to buy phones with other chipsets? If its for gaming?

Dimensity 8300 is a beast for gaming, Exynos is still to be avoided (for almost anything really), search YouTube for more convincing info.

I want an upgrade as my Poco F2 Pro is getting on a bit at 3 years 4 months old.
But it’s a robust phone, dropped over 30 times from hand, pocket and roof of car 4 times now.
    I know I’m a moron.
Taken out of case and glass screen protector removed it’s still mint.
    God knows how.

I think I will wait a few months and see if the F6 pro is on the horizon.
Whatever I buy next will hurt as the F2 Pro was only £299.

I bought the F2 pro on release as my second phone alongside my Samsung (whatever the flagship was S9 I think). Still have and love the F2 pro. Bought the F5 pro a few months ago as my main phone to replace my Samsung S10 plus. Very pleased with it, but yes you can forever wait for the next iteration the following year. Xiaomi phone annual improvements are becoming less consequential though and in some cases backwards steps. I wish they kept the popup selfie camera from the F2 for example.

Good price. Hope for F5 around 300 from the UK.

Doubt it will happen, not directly from Xiaomi anyways!

Not sure this is that great, it isn't much better than X6 Pro you can get for £340? or am I missing crucial spec related stuff?

    Bit bigger battery, android 14 (x6 pro got 13), 512gb (x6 got 256gb)
But overall 100£ more expensive as you can get x6 pro for 300£ on amazon
Also benchmarks are better for x6 pro xD

Probably better off getting a second hand Samsung galaxy s21/s22 ultra.

Battery life will be a bit battered though. (edited)

Bit pricey for the specs. (edited)

Any cheaper for the same spec?

This has Hyper OS (android 14) which has improved the some of the battery saving issues but it definitely has caused other issues with performance hopefully an update to the OS or apps will sort this. The camera is poor on this though.

I think calling the cameras poor is a bit of a stretch tbh. The macro is weak but hardly terrible. The main is fine. The only Xiaomi with a good camera is only available in china anyways. Also what are the performance issues cause I can't honestly say I've noticed any myself? (edited)

You can get brand new S21 ultra or Note 20 ultra for less, brand new. (both from this seller). There's even an open box new S21 ultra for like £290

Only advantage of the Samsung is the camera, the rest is not up to spec. These are Chinese versions of Samsung.

Do I swap my 3yr old Mi 11 for this or wait?

Can someone help me please ?
    I've got a OnePlus Nord CE 5G 12gb ram 256gb.
I have nothing but issues with the microphone when sending videos on WhatsApp etc.
What would be a significant upgrade to? I want to pay about £200-£300. Thanks,
    Marc
