In short yes. I’m just back yesterday and no visa required as long as your stay does not exceed 31 days. No other paperwork required either

Don’t stay in Phuket if you only have 15 days .
Jump a 2-3 hour bus to krabi for at least 10 nights and explore the amazing beaches and Koh Lanta, Railay , Klong Muang , the 4 islands tour and phi phi. Then head back to Patong Phuket for the last 4 nights . (edited)

Phuket was my least favourite place in Thailand I've visited. Saying that it's been 15 plus years since I last went to Thailand.

From what I've heard, TUI are terrible to fly with and considering this is such a long flight, I wouldn't even consider it.

I find TUI really good, I fly with them a couple of times a year. They have the excellent Dreamliner for long haul which is really modern and comfortable - been to Costa Rica a couple of times on one and also to Egypt (not their usual craft to do mid haul). They never used to use their own aircraft for the far east so worth checking.

Is it pronounced fookay, the 'T' being silent?

I think that's how British people pronounce it. Locals kinda say it like Poo Get but the g kinda sounds like a K
