Despite some of the other thoughts and feelings around this device, we've had two of them for about 8 months or so now.

Use one upstairs in the main bedroom and one in the living room, it's only a 2 bedroom house so not huge rooms.

We use it as an alternative to our central heating which is an old gas boiler, on the whole really like them, we can heat up a room on the medium setting in around 30 mins to an hour, and then it goes off.

Not had a noticeable difference in our bills and it allows us to just heat the rooms were in the most, so it's a highly preferential piece of kit, if you like your whole house warmed up, stick with your central heating, if you only need a room or two warmed up, it's not a bad alternative.

It’s good at distributing heat then? The problem I’ve always found with these fan type heaters is they’ll make a small area e.g. you warm but they don’t radiate heat in a way that will warm a room.

Does anyone know the cost per hour to run?

Home office: my current oil-filled rad is about 30p/hour ⚡️

About 44p per hour at 29p per kWh.

This one is worth the extra £5, unless space is an issue

Low energy = low heat! These things are directly in proportion. 900w of heat requires 900w of energy. Nice to have control via phone app though!

This one has 3 settings 900w,1200w and 1500w so roughly 30p /hr on lowest setting.

Only if it's on 100% of the time. Normally heaters have thermostats, so I'd expect it to be on for about half the time (50% duty cycle) once it's warmed up. (edited)

"Low Energy Efficient" = accurate. This thing burnt a hole in our wallets!

Works well if you have a govee thermostat also as it can use that to see what it really is temp wise in the room and control that way.

If this little piece of crap was on 24/7 which it will be near enough. It will cost you about £9 a day or £250 a month! A Chinese heater on pump diesel will heat a whole 3 bed house 24/7 for half this cost. I have been doing it all winter- tried and tested. The heater cost £120 . Best money I ever spent. Saved thousands of this winters bills. We have no gas or oil here.

Every few weeks I have to press the two buttons to activate the wifi again but it works well enough for me on app and HomeKit (homebridge).

I'm a bit dubious allowing an app to control something like a heater. I have several devices that run of apps and sometimes they're hit or miss with them turning on/off at the correct times. Sometimes the server or app doesn't switch off the device and i come back from work and it's still running. Imagine if it was a heater and it topples over while unattended or if you have pets or kids that might move it about. Yes, I'm probably over worrying but I have not enough faith in these apps yet. "energy efficient" - ALL electric heaters are 100% efficient at converting electricity to heat. Are these over 100% energy efficient!?

Are these safe enough to leave running for a few hours at a time and when we're not in the same room? On agile so intend to use during cheap hours instead of central heating
