Further price drop on these flights to Santorini, plenty of dates across April and May under £60.

Santorini is one of the Cyclades islands in the Aegean Sea. It was devastated by a volcanic eruption in the 16th century BC, forever shaping its rugged landscape. The whitewashed, cubiform houses of its 2 principal towns, Fira and Oia, cling to cliffs above an underwater caldera (crater). They overlook the sea, small islands to the west and beaches made up of black, red and white lava pebbles. ― Google

For hotel, have a look on TUI for "hotel only" - seems like you can go for under £405 (£205pp)

    Flights (including a 20kg Suitcase for 2) - £166

On Sunday 5th of May is Easter in Greece. They will have big celebrations on this day so flying back on Sunday night after the celebrations during the day sounds not too bad. You just got to make sure your shuttle will definitely run on that day to take you to the airport

Santorini is amazing on the of period. That weekend of May will be Easter for greeks and it will be very fun and enjoyable. Things will be more busy.

The acrotiri is a beautiful historical place of minoan settlement. I do hope it will be open this weekend. Do check.

If you do decide to go. Like the post and I will reply back with a guide if what to do, where to eat etc.

    Is this destination over rated?

Not at all, pictures don't make it justice compared to reality.

I loved Santorini and would love to return. Tad exexpensive in places. Fascinating history - in particular the 'Pompeii' style excavations that have revealed this buried civilisation in amazing condition.
It is well worth a visit.

As usual the flight prices are meaningless - by the time you add on 'anything' you are doubling the cost. With a suitcase you have to add on 150 quid for both ways.

Or travel extremely light. My old 'Ryanair' Jacket is too small for me now!!!!!!

    But love the Island

Just pay for the extra cabin bag , more than enough for a week and doesn't cost much

Lovely destination but not push chair friendly due to steps in many directions. (edited)

    There's a decent holiday option too: hotukdeals.com/com…669

Also flights to santorini tend to be much more, usually around £100 even with budget airlines

Went last year in peak season via a cruise day trip, lovely place but totally littered with rubbish everywhere as soon as you go off the main part, disappointed after seeing so many nice photos
