Just a heads up it does come with an adapter, but that does add a bit of width

The backbone is brilliant. They’re only reduced because all the new iPhones have a USB type C charging port.

Is it me or has Argos got far too many copies of call of duty to get rid of

They'll be flogging them with dusters and toasters next

Seems an odd bundle. Why would I need PS4 COD with the iPhone controller?

The intention of the controller is for remote play on your ps4 or ps5. It only species iphone because there's an android version with a different connection. It can be used to play other things on the phone but still intended for ps use.

Annoying as the the Android USB-C version is still £99.99. Heat though

I would need one with USB C for iPhone 15 Pro Max and would need the Ps5 version of the game , but already got it so can sell it off.

Is this worth it? And would it work on a Samsung galaxy s24+ or is it literally just iphones? Tempted but don't know enough about it (edited)

    Lightning 🤮

I'd snap it up if it was Android version, use the Kishi for Xbox and it works really well, wouldn't mind a PS one to chill out with in bed before bed

Please note this is for the OLD cod mw2 game which can be had for £15 on ebay and NOT 3.

also Apple iOS lightening connection has also been replaced by usb c so not a future proof device for newer iPhones

Love my backbone and has revitalised my gaming like I had hoped the Steam deck would do.

It’s not perfect. It’s a little bit small so really long gaming sessions become a little bit painful on the hands after a while and cloud gaming is still a way off perfect, glitch-free streaming.

However, other than that, it’s been an enjoyable experience. I keep the BB in my bag and it means that a fully charged iPhone with a full charge can get hours and hours of gameplay compared to a switch, Rog Ally, Steam Deck etc (obviously each of these have huge upsides too and I’m not conflating them all into a simple pool of handhelds). The headphone jack is nice as is the pass through charging. It’s the most convenient way to dip into my Steam, Epic and Xbox library that I’ve come across yet.

LAN streaming to the PS4 Pro is great but I don’t use it all that often.

I personally wouldn’t worry about the legacy element of the lightning connector. My iPhone X still works with the backbone as does my 13 Pro Max so as long as you have a modern-ish phone that still supports a relatively recent version of iOS you’ll get a good couple of years out of this iteration of the BB anyway.
