Been looking for one of these for ages. Decided to buy now as it looks like it is being discontinued as hard to find. The Klingon Bird of Prey, for example, can not be found at Playmobil site anymore. Not much more to say about this, and agree that it is still an expensive piece of plastic.
If you want the Klingon Bird of Prey then try Amazon Germany where I purchased it for £124.88 yesterday.

The original price is £449. So pretty much half price (not the 3% discount in the title)

This is simply a price used to show a 'perceived' discount, it's a marketing tactic to promote sales; it will be sold at this price for a day or so to fulfil their legal obligations that they can show a so called genuine discount. Ultimately you should never look at so called reductions, and look at what you're actually paying compared to other retailers; if the price falls below market value you've got a deal. In this case the OP has placed a comparison against Amazon which is a fair comparison as the next cheapest retailer.
