This open-world action thriller takes you through the seedy streets of Paris as you seek to undermine the German authority and lead a rebellion. Fight across rooftops and through dangerous alleys, and operate a wide variety of vehicles as you navigate your terrain.

Not all wars are fought on the open battlefield. Download The Saboteur to visit 1940s Nazi-occupied Paris, as you play tough Irish racecar mechanic Sean Devlin. Working with the French Resistance, Sean is out for revenge against ruthless Nazi Colonel Kurt Dierker, who executed Sean’s best friend.

This open-world action thriller takes you through the seedy streets of Paris as you seek to undermine the German authority and lead a rebellion. Fight across rooftops and through dangerous alleys, and operate a wide variety of vehicles as you navigate your terrain. You can even climb the Eiffel Tower or Notre Dame Cathedral for a sniping mission.

Use stealth and disguise to strike at the heart of the Nazi war machine by disabling trains, destroying bridges, and blowing up enemy facilities. As you work to remove the oppressive forces from parts of the city, the drab black-and-white palette gives way to bright colors, signifying that you’ve inspired the townspeople. The more you incite the people, the more they’ll aid you by intervening in fights or providing a quick getaway from pursuing Germans. The Saboteur presents a fresh take on World War II and features dramatic cinematic elements. The action and intrigue is yours to experience via download on the PC now.

Bought it, just having trouble with controller support for the deck

Whilst in-game change the control layout to "Gamepad with Joystick" via the Steam menu, then exit the game and relaunch it.

This worked for me, and now it shows Xbox 360 controls and works perfectly.

Does this work on the steam deck?

Yes, 800P resolution is bugged/issue so need to set 720P. The image can be stretched to fill screen through quick menu 3 dots button, best option I found sharpened image better was NIS adjust sharpness scale to preference I have it at 8 a little edge noise tho but it is an older game remember and at 720P. Still looks decent on steam deck tho, if you don't like the noise you can choose FSR option but makes image a bit more blurrier instead.

When in game select gamepad through steam settings, a few reviews said no gamepad support on steam deck but that isn't true you just need to go into options in game and select control scheme. (edited)

I'm not normally a fan of GTA-style games but enjoyed this one. It is a mix of GTA and early Assassin's Creed games set in World War II.

I'm not sure this is a great price and appears to be cheaper on EA store and I think I paid about a pound several years ago. Unless you want to play it straight away I would create an alert on IsThereAnyDeals and buy when closer to historical low.

It's an excellent game but this price seems a little high considering.

I’m assuming these old EA games have all been “modernised”? ie run properly on current hardware / steam deck etc.

i really enjoyed this at the time, as much as i enjoyed the gta series. it was great sneaking around france, demolishing outposts and even sneaking over the border. hillariously my copy came with free dlc that caused the ladies in the nightclub to lose their clothes. how bizarre.
