Cheapest I've seen it. Much better than the Hue dimmer switches and at this price not much more expensive.

I picked up my dimmer switches for around £16 each. They're currently £19.99 on Amazon so you're paying a pretty hefty premium for these.
Don't think I'll be replacing them.

I also thought the tap dial was expensive and not needed due to having lots of dimmers.. though my kitchen is actually split into 3 areas, meaning having to have 3 dimmers around. I realised 1 tap dial is actually probably a better method... Unless I'm missing something with dimmer switches? They can only control one zone of lights.. hopefully I'm right!

You can buy it direct from hue fairly often at this price. It comes with the ‘mini mount’ then too

Is this true? Never seen it at this price before.

Could this be used to control things other than lights?

Possibly, using an Alexa routine. I haven’t tried it though. I’m guessing you can tell the Alexa routine to do X when you press one of the buttons once it’s connected to your Hue hub.

Bought one of these for the bedroom the other week, although expensive as with all hue devices, it's brilliant in everyday use with the dial being really responsive.

Integrates to home assistant via the hue bridge integration without issue and the options are endless.

A much cheaper alternative but without the dial is the moes 4 button zigbee scene switch that can be found on AliExpress for around a tenner delivered. Have multiple of these around the house and they're brilliant.

Hi, do the moes switches integrate with hue app etc?

    Thanks in advance!

Why can't you undo an accident negative rating?!

Very annoying. I’ve accidentally voted things hot and wished I could undo as well.

Just realised. Comes up as £28.xx on my Amazon business account. Also if you buy 2 it drops to £26.xx. Best price so far for this!

    You didn’t wanna go 10 for £24.xx?

I think I'd have to put stickers on the buttons saying what they do if I tried to do anything fancy with these.

If it was just controlling four lights in the same room it'd be OK, as I'd be able to see if I'd toggled the wrong light.

Amazing dials, high quality with extremely satisfying haptics and clicks, no wobbling, worth the price. I bought two yesterday and replaced two v1 Classic switches which will be used to control sth else. Highly recommended.

It's hard to agree that they are worth the price when you need to buy at least a dozen of them. Soon adds up.

These are class. Have one in my kitchen / diner space, where I have 2 different lighting zones (kitchen, table pendant (Hue Ensis, lovely item) and dining area. So easy to control what you want.

Good, if you can afford it, but we are okay using a few google speakers around the house.

I prefer the dimmer switches to these.

The thing I think would be better is dimming/brightening with the dial. The normal 4 button switch/remote makes it not terribly precise to get the right brightness as it seems to jump too much. I’m very fussy about brightness.

I'm sure this said Bluetooth but can confirm it needs a bridge
    mikeyp's avatar
I bought and set this up controlling 4 lights without the hue bridge, so assume it has Bluetooth.

You do need the bridge if you want to modify the button actions though, as you don't have the option to add the switch in the hue app without the bridge. The default button actions are simply different levels of brightness. You hold any button for 3 seconds to switch the light off.
