That means you can't buy it on the day... not having to use it within 24 hours. Bad wording sure but I doubt people are wanting to go in the next 24 hours

It is pretty dire but if you have kids under 6 or 7, they just love being on the boats and don't really look at the scenery

Seems a good deal considering it is for four people, from the picture it looks like you're driving your own boat which looks fairly fun. Admittedly you're not in Venice but I don't think the kids will fair, dodge the upturned trolleys and make a game of it.
